In Central Salem, a cozy guest suite located on the third floor of a charming 1908 home with separate entrance. Walking distance to Salem attractions and amenities. Just the place for a weekend getaway or a weekday work trip.

Our home is conveniently located 1.5 miles off the I-5 corridor. Salem and it's surrounding areas are also home to countless top-notch wineries and an hour from the beautiful Oregon coast.

***Please note: guests must climb two flights of stairs to reach the apartment making our space unsuitable for anyone not comfortable with stairs.***

***WIFI UPDATE 5/2022: We recently received feedback about a poor WiFi connection in the guest suite. In response to this concern and to ensure there were no issues for anyone going forward, we upgraded to a fiber internet service and hardwired a new modem for exclusive use on the 3rd floor. We now have speeds of up to 200Mbps and an excellent signal throughout the guest suite. ***

The guest suite is a charming 650 square foot apartment on the third floor of our home, with a full bathroom and kitchen for your private use.

The space has one larger alcoved room that serves as a bedroom with a queen bed. A second alcoved space can serve as a workspace with a desk and chair, but also has a single bed if needed. Both of these spaces have closets, but as you'll see in pictures, the rooms do not have standard doors. There are curtains hung in place in the archways that serve as doors, so it is essentially a two-bedroom apartment. The living room couch is a futon that can sleep a smaller person in a pinch.

The kitchen is well-outfitted for cooking and eating in. It has an oven, fridge, microwave, sink, kettle, toaster and coffee pot/Keurig. There are dishes, utensils, pots and pans and baking dishes. If you need something specific for making a meal and it’s not already up there, feel free to ask—chances are we can provide it. We provide coffee and many pantry basics.

The bathroom is spacious with a full bathtub and shower.

The space has its own furnace so you can control the temperature settings. There are two freestanding A/C unit for warmer months.

The bookcase is well-stocked with books, but we do not keep a TV in the apartment. Watching shows/movies will need to be done on any devices you bring yourself.

Bringing Children: We are always happy to have children as guests! If you plan to bring little ones, please just shoot me a message when you book to let me know that you have seen the info about stairs so there aren't any surprises when you arrive!

Our home is centrally located within the downtown Salem area: a few blocks from the State Capitol, the local Farmer's Market, Christo's Pizza, Broadway Coffee, Willamette University, Safeway and within a mile of Salem Hospital, Oregon State Hospital and the train station. We are about 1.5 miles off of I-5.

Please note, that because of our proximity to downtown and the busy road, you will hear some traffic noise and possibly neighbors from time to time.

On street parking is available. We live in a zoned parking area, so guest passes are available to hang in your car window. We receive only a limited number of parking passes per year and they cost $15 to replace, so they need to be returned at check-out.
