Located in Beechworth this upmarket fully self-contained historical fully renovated stone home offers romantic accommodation for a couple, a family, or a group of up to 6 people, with a stunning French inspired alfresco garden for entertainment or a stroll to the shops, wine bars and cafes in Beechworth.

Quietly located close to Lake Sambel for family fun with plenty of car parking and Kayak and bike storage.

Sister to Ned Kelly's Marlo Cottage on this site and book them both for large groups

The space
French Cottage is fully renovated with hydronic heating through out for the winter and airconditioning and nice shaded verandahs to keep cool in the summer.

You have access to the entire self contained house which has three queen size bedrooms and two bathrooms, but please make sure you book for the correct number of guests as additional bedrooms may be locked if we don’t think you need them for your stay to minimise cleaning.

You also have exclusive use of our beautiful fully hedged quiet and serene French inspired garden, which is also available for small intimate private gatherings, including small weddings. Talk to us about this option if you are considering booking French Cottage and we can discuss further.

Lives in Beechworth, Australia
I have lived in Beechworth North East Victoria for 29 years. I have seen Beechworth transform from a majority Psyche, prison working township transformed to a exciting historic tourist destination. One thing has remained, breathe taking scenery, friendly, supportive community, with the odd quirky country character. I have ridden and owned horses for 50 years, and the amazing mountain rides and trails was one of my draw cards to moving to this beautiful part of the world. Thankfully, all the new clothes Beechworth is wearing these days has not changed the very heart of what i fell in love with, it is still a beautiful country town, where I can still ride my horses on the side of the roads, and get kind and considerate drivers passing me with care, the one finger wave and a stop and chat. Come and enjoy our beautiful home.....we want you to come and have a sleep over and enjoy all our beautiful scenery, historical buildings, restaurants, great shopping and the best wineries in Victoria.
