We believe that good design has the power to affect you deeply, foster positive experiences, and bring people closer together. This home's renovation was led by Architect and Co-owner Jim Smith, one of Denver's top architects. His love of historic homes, careful attention to period details, and discipline in renovating and furnishing a historic home is everywhere evident.

This home is perfect for guests who are seeking an authentic historic home experience. In the home's renovation we have preserved as many original features as possible. These historic features (such as original woodwork, windows, sinks and toilets, tile, hardware, original kitchen countertop etc.) show their age in the form of patina. Our design approach is to be sensitive to the homes past and embrace its authentic historic features. We do not rip everything out and create a modern day home inside. Yet we have many modern amenities in the home, such as Central Air Conditioning, WIFI and Roku TV.

This is one of two homes in Hannibal's Maple Avenue Historic District that is "impressive example more strictly (Frank Lloyd) Wrightian in their influence" according to the National Register of Historic Places.

Staying here offers you the experience of a Prairie Style home, inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's visionary movement of creating homes in harmony with the natural environment that lifts the human spirit. Meanwhile explore the beauty and history of "America's hometown" - the boyhood home of Mark Twain, with its revitalized vibrant Main Street and waterfront. Come, be our guest - and stay awhile!
