Listing highlights

Furry friends welcome

Bring your pets along for the stay.
Poised on the site of the original homestead that once belonged to the earliest saw-milling pioneers of the area, our two-storey Cottage at Mill Creek Ranch is thoughtfully adorned throughout with charming design details and sits invitingly on a sun-drenched level lawn area making it an ideal setting for a family getaway, a celebration with friends or a romantic couples’ hideaway - regardless of the season. If available we also have another dwelling on the property, the Barn, sleeps 5.

The space
Stroll along the ornately tiled verandah to the front entry-way and step into the open plan dining/living room. Whip up a farm-sized feast in our amply stocked kitchen and warm yourself on those wintery evenings by the cosy indoor fireplace.

Comfortably accommodating up to 7 guests, the lower level offers a queen bedroom with direct access to the verandah and lawn area, a generous bathroom complete with separate bath and shower, a bunk room, separate powder room and fully equipped internal laundry. Retreat upstairs for peaceful solitude and tree-top views of the 150-year old farm from the seclusion of a second queen bedroom and enjoy the benefits of your own private ensuite.

Fresh white towels and crisp bed-linen are provided and hairdryers are conveniently stocked in both bathrooms. Enjoy a selection of board games, play cards with the kids or cuddle up and watch a movie. Stay connected via the Cottage Wi-Fi and enjoy your favourite playlist on the Bluetooth compatible soundbar. The outdoor fire-pit is a must with firewood easily replenished from the stockpile adjacent to the nearby post and beam shed.

Yes, we do have WIFI - however, like some country properties it can be a little slow. We have done all we can but you can ‘hotspot’ your phones to devices if required.

Things to Do:

Sip your morning coffee at sunrise from the verandah and be greeted by the dawn birdsong.

Follow the driveway on foot to the rear of the property and meet our farmyard family of cows.

Spot wallabies and an abundance of bird-life on a nature walk through the adjoining Ourimbah State Forest.

Toast the late afternoon sunshine with a sumptuous cheese-platter at the alfresco natural timber-top picnic table and listen for the sunset call of the yellow-tailed black cockatoo.

Gaze heavenwards around the outdoor fire-pit and try to spot the first evening star.

Other Nearby Activities:

Book a horse-riding or mountain-biking adventure with one of the local tour operators.

Test yourself and the kids on a ropes and flying fox course at Treetops Adventure Park. (Highly recommended - Advance bookings essential.)

Take the kids for a milkshake and a canoe ride at The Wyong Milk Factory.

Lose yourself among the hedges at Amazement Farm & Fun Park.

Visit the Australian Reptile Park at Somersby.

Know Before You Go!

We recommend sturdy walking shoes or gumboots for exploring the farm surrounds.
