Eatonville has great small town feel, with a bakery and small cafes. Cruiser Cafe makes the best milkshakes make sure you get the large they are so good!
The Center Street Mercantile Junction rewards a good antique rummage for a treasure, you can also get a salad and baked potato. All profits go to local charity

Shaken Bistro restaurant has varied menu and a great value bar steak, nice cocktails and only a few blocks walk everyone can enjoy a drink and stroll back to a great nights sleep.( being a small town you will find a lot of places including Shaken close at 9.30pm)

Eatonville is also a great base for many local activities;

It is 30 mins to Mount Rainier park entrance and then another 40 mins to meander through the scenic park to paradise visitors center.
Maps and books on day hikes within the park are available in room.

The art festival in glacier park is the 1st weekend in August and has art booths , food , beer and live music .A point to note, the house is close enough to hear the music until 1am on the Saturday.

Mount Rainier steam train railway at Elbe has a great program, whether wine tasting or beer and cider trips in the summer, you get on the train and go part way up line to a junction stop. The most popular trip is the Polar Express ride in December with characters from the popular book aboard. Santa gets on the train at the ‘north pole‘ as you sing carols on way back.

You pass by Northwest Trek on the way to Eatonville, seeing animals in free roaming area is always amazing. If you are a photographer you can book ahead and take a customized tram that stops so you can take close up pictures of animals.
