Welcome to The Byron Hinterland Tiny House, a tiny house in a perfectly private location.
Wake to the sounds of birds and distant cattle. Fall asleep to the sounds of....well, nothing (although you might hear the odd koala in the right season)
The tiny house is in a little world of its own. Perfect for rest, reflection (meditation stool provided) or romance. From the deck, or the deliciously comfy bed you can watch the sunset, the moon rise and the sun rise again.

20 mins to Byron 8 to Bangal

The space
The tiny house takes a maximum of 2 guests unless by special arrangement, and is not suitable for children under 16, or pets.

The tiny house is off grid and off mains water. You can however still have a lovely hot shower, cook your food and, charge your phone or use your laptop.

There is a fridge with a small freezer.

There is no heating in the house but guests comment that it remains cosy. For Winter stays we provide extremely warm bedding, hot water bottles and use of the fire pit.

Because the water is collected from the tiny roof we do have a very limited water supply, so please keep showers to 3 minutes and turn off the tap when brushing your teeth.

The house is on a septic system. It is essential that nothing but human waste and the toilet paper provided is flushed.

Guest access
Guests have access to 5 acres of grassland and bush and can access the orchard to pick citrus for personal consumption while at the property.

SIT UNDER THE STARS BY THE FIRE:
Sit by the fire, enjoy the stars and the silence and toast some marshmallows.

There’s more to the Northern Rivers than spectacular scenery. We also have an enormous array of delicious locally produced food. Your breakfast, delivered the night you arrive will consist of locally grown fruit in season....perhaps red paw paw and limes from our tree, avocado, oranges or mangoes .....award winning Brookfarm muesli, yoghurt and or honey from the area. There is no toaster in the tiny house.

TELSTRA IS THE ONLY CARRIER SERVICING POSSUM CREEK.

Neighbourhood highlights

The tiny house is 20 minutes from the beaches of Byron and Brunswick Heads and 10 minutes from the historic village of Bangalow. This area sets a very high standard for coffee and food and you won't travel far to find an abundance of both.
The Friday Hut restaurant is open for weekend dining, it is highly recommended by locals and is a two minute drive or 10 minute walk from the tiny house (be aware that you will be climbing a very steep hill to return after your beautiful meal).

Please let me know if you are looking for a special night out.

There is almost always a market, farmers' or otherwise, happening in our local area. Stock up on delicious local produce and specialty foods for a lovely night in on the deck of the tiny house.

Heading away from the coast, you could choose to drive only 20 minutes through rolling green hills, to Federal. Here you can taste top class Japanese food before heading off to Minyon falls for some sub tropical magic and exercise.

I'm lucky enough to live in beautiful Byron Bay Australia. It would be easy to just stay here and enjoy the wonderful climate, beaches and food BUT the rest of the world is out there and when I travel I always come home enriched and alive. When I was younger I travelled alone but for the last several decades I've travelled with my husband and often, our 2 children. Now it's time to set off alone again so that I can do just what I choose! That will involve a great deal of art, food and cooking, walking and looking at architecture. I'm hoping that AIR BNB will help me meet people who will help me do that well and who are happy to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for their hometowns.
