Awesome room in a duplex apartment in a new build, elevator condo!
About the room: large and sunny, on the top floor of a duplex, penthouse apartment. The room has sliding glass doors which take you out to a private balcony - facing Manhattan with great skyline views! The room has everything you need: a queen sized bed, walk in closet, desk, TV/cable, wifi, dresser. The room is on the top floor, above the living room, so very private and quiet. On the 7th floor, facing the back of the building, so there are no issues with traffic, or other noise. Sheets/bedding included, if you want, as well as hair dryer, shampoo, towels, and other basic house stuff you might need!
About the apartment: it's a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. One bedroom is a master and is mine, one is a guest room where I people occasionally stay and the 3rd one, which is upstairs, I rent. It is a new build condo, with 2 bathrooms, so everything is modern and clean. I've included a floor plan you so you can see they layout. There is a dishwasher and also a washer and dryer in the apartment. The condo has an elevator, so don't worry about having to walk up 6 flights of stairs. :)
About the neighborhood: I live in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. This area has really become very trendy in the past few years that I have lived here. The apartment is located across the street from Pratt Institute, which is an Art College. Myrtle Ave is hopping and is lined with restaurants (Thai, Chinese, Sushi, Indian, Southern, Jamaican, Diners, French, Italian, everything!), bars, lounges, coffee shops, boutiques, etc... They just opened a big beer garden (Brooklyn Tap House) across the street as well! Also within a few blocks are 2 supermarkets (one organic, one not), a dry cleaners and a post office, two hip coffee shops, a small trendy grocer, a great neighborhood bar, a gas station, bodegas, a large craft beer sports bar.... The area is very safe and trendy! The closet subway is the G train, at Classon. From there you can transfer easily to the A/C line, or the L and it is a short ride into downtown Manhattan. There is also a bus stop, literally, in front of the building and from there it is a short ride to Downtown Brooklyn, where you can get every mulitiple subway lines.
About me: I am an English language teacher at a local univeristy and I speak Italian, French, Spanish and German. Also found in the apartment are TWO friendly cats (one in the pics sadly just passed away) :( - who you are sure to love as much as I do. :) I am a relaxed, respectful people, and look forward to meeting you.
Any questions you have, don't hesitate to ask! :)
