Ideal couples getaway with a self contained contemporary barn in beautiful Berry on a 25 acre hobby farm. Bringing together the best of beach and rural, only 2km to Berry and 4km to the beach. With full access to the pool (not heated), the property has cattle, chickens, a vegetable garden and a small orchard in development. Totally private with it's own access and parking. Due to dams, creeks & a wood combustion heater we are unable to accomodate children 2-12 years of age.

The space
The Barn is great for romantic weekends away for two enjoying the restaurants and shops of Berry and the surrounding area along with beautiful south coast beaches and walks in the Berry escarpment. The Barn is a contemporary take on a traditional barn conversion, offering queen bedroom with super comfy bed, fully appointed bathroom and living space including a self contained kitchen and BBQ area set amongst beautiful gardens and plunge pool. Whether you want an active weekend taking in all the sights and activities of the area or a opportunity to just get away from it all The Barn is that perfect place.

Guest access
You will have full access to the pool and pool area. The pool is only some 10 metres from the Barn, some 40 metres from the main wing of the house. While guests are staying at The Barn my wife and I do everything we can to ensure your privacy when using the pool (please note: bath towels are not be used in the pool area, you will need to bring your own beach / pool towels).

Other things to note
Millview is a working hobby farm, we do our best to provide a quiet and tranquil environment while guests are staying with us, but at times we need to run routine maintenance on the property. We try our best to always perform these works at times thats do not inconvenience our guests. We know what it's like to have a good sleep in!!!

Location

Berry, New South Wales, Australia

Berry is a destination in it's own right and has great country shops, heritage buildings, restaurants, cafes and surrounding wineries. At the same time a number of great south coast beaches are close by (Gerringong, Gerroa, Seven Mile Beach, Shoalhaven Heads). Seven Mile Beach and the Berry Escarpment also have great walking tracks.

The Berry Produce Market is held twice a month, (second Saturday and fourth Sunday) among the shops on the Main Street (Queen Street). Queen and Albert streets are a great opportunity to browse locally made gourmet products, sweet treats, delicious wines and other delights. Stop at Berry Sourdough Bakery and Cafe for wood-fired pastries and coffee.

Delicious meals are to be had at restaurants such as South of Albany, Hungry Duck and Silos Restaurant, which is on the Silos Estate vineyard. The Berry Country Fair is held on the first Sunday of the month at Berry Showground.

A short walk from the showground is the Famous Berry Donut Van, a delicious institution on Queen Street. Another drawcard is the Fairgrounds Festival, two days of artisan food, markets and music in December. You can also bus around the wineries during the Shoalhaven Wine Festival in June.

When not taking care of our hobby farm and gardens my wife and I love to travel with visiting Australia and also OS. Enjoy the ocean, surf and some golf along with some good food and wine spent with friends and family.
During your stay
Alison and I live on the property in a separate residence and will be there to greet you and help out if you need us. We want to ensure your stay is comfortable, but at same time respect your privacy and let you take advantage of the the great opportunity to relax. The Barn is some 40 metres from the main wing of the house ensuring your privacy.

We have a New Foundland dog (Miss Murphy) on the property who is very friendly, loves company and other dogs. Like all Newfies she is rather large and weighs in at around 60kg. Despite her size she is a big softy. Regardless, if you are uncomfortable with dogs please just let us know and we will make sure she doesn't get in the way.

We are open to allowing pets on the property (dogs only), however your dog must be fully house trained, dog friendly and is not allowed to sleep or sit on the lounge/furniture or beds. As The Barn is not fully fenced, and we have cattle and chickens, your dog will need to be supervised.
