At Beaupre Farm enjoy the wonders and exquisite beauty of exclusive secluded access to over 300 meters of sandy beach in a private bay.

Our 40 acre working farm has billabongs, coastal tracks, native forest, abundant wildlife and exquisite 270º vistas over the Huon River, Cygnet Bay and across to Bruny Island.

Exclusively yours, our cottage offers boutique accommodation, a farm to plate experience with fishing equipment, kayaks and bikes to explore our specular serene world.

The space
2-level 2-bedroom cottage with breathtaking water views.

The upper level is a fully contained parent's retreat with queen size bed, ensuite, fully equipped kitchen, lounge and dining area. Snuggle before a cosy fire during cooler weather whilst enjoying complimentary local wine.

Please note access to the downstairs area is via an external staircase only.

Downstairs has a large family dining area, butlers kitchen including a 2nd dishwasher; the bedroom has four versatile king-size single beds which can be configured into a king size double with or without additional singles. The downstairs bathroom includes the laundry.

Generous breakfast provisions are provided including freshly laid eggs which can be supplemented from the cottage’s own vegetable/herb patch and our orchard.

Explore coastal paths and sheltered bays with complimentary bicycles. In the evening relax around the courtyard fire or build your own campfire on the beach. Listen to music or watch your favourite Netflix drama on TV or browse nautical, art and cook books.

Guest access
Explore our pristine beach, coastal walks, billabongs and forest. Spot pademelons, quolls, bettongs and abundant bird life including sea eagles and other raptors (binoculars and guidebooks provided).

Collect and shuck your own oysters to eat around a beach campfire (subject to Tas Fire permits), picnic in the vineyard, forest, orchard, or our extensive park like gardens.

In our beach boat shed you will find kayaks, and fishing gear as well as bikes for your enjoyment.

Location

Lymington, Tasmania, Australia

Beaupre Farm is the perfect base to explore the region’s cool climate wines, history and wilderness areas. The vibrant village of Cygnet is just 10 mins away and hosts bi-weekly farmers’ market, an annual folk festival and the bi-annual French Festival – Le Weekend with its own Le Tour de Cygnet bike race. Wander along the Cygnet art trail and view work from the many artists who now call Cygnet home. Venture through the Huon valley to explore Tasmania's lush South West wilderness old growth forests and be awed by the Hartz Mountains National Park and Tahune Forest Reserve and Airwalk. Call into Franklin and visit the Wooden Boat Centre on the way. Visit the crayfish, abalone and salmon fishing village of Dover and take a swim at the nearby Hastings Caves and Thermal Springs. Also, in the vicinity is Southport’s Ida Bay historic railway and Cockle Creek, gateway to Southwest Wilderness and the farthest point south one can drive in Australia. With Hobart a northerly 50 mins scenic drive away, you could visit the Salamanca Market, MONA museum, Mt. Wellington, Tasman Peninsula, historic Port Arthur and Richmond or detour east to picturesque Bruny Island via Kettering.

Living abroad for most of our lives has taken us outside our comfort zone, provided many opportunities to grow and allowed us to develop an immense appreciation and respect for the life and customs of another’s culture. We thought returning to our passport country would be a difficult transition. We were very fortunate to have found a community which is as overwhelmingly welcoming as the landscape is beautiful - a place where we could feel most like ourselves. During your stay at Beaupre Farm, our desire is for you too, to also feel, most like yourself.
