If you want to truly immerse in the Hmong culture and way of life, please come and spend time with me and my Hmong family at my home-stay, overlooking the green rice terraces in Ta Van village, Sapa.
I'm happy to offer cultural trekking, cooking classes and craft-making for guests upon request.
This listing includes a private bungalow (with bathroom) that can accommodate 2 adults comfortably.
Home-cooked breakfast and dinner are included in your reservation.
The space
Amazing view overlooking the rice terraces. This is a truly authentic stay with a Hmong family. I offer cooking, craft-making and cultural nature treks with the experience. I collect Hmong textiles and traditional clothing, some of which is very rare and 80 years old. Guests can try on the clothes and learn about the Hmong tradition of indigo dying and hemp sewing.
We have a big kitchen, a common area with lounging spaces and a big dining table where guests share meals with my family, a stocked beer fridge and veranda overlooking our rice fields and the surrounding mountains. Come stay with my family and learn about Hmong culture.
We also a have shared dorm (floor mattresses) and private rooms (double bed).

You want to get to know Ta Van in depth? Then book with me a 2d/1n or 3d/2n trekking tour to different villages around Ta Van. I also have other activities such as motorbike tours, indigo dying, traditional hmong embroidery, batik painting, etc.
Contact me for further details via telephone as I am not good at reading or writing. I get help from my guests occasionally and my daughter-in-law / my sister whenever they are around. Please note that messages that come through might take longer for me to respond.
