The living spaces and master bedroom open onto a covered balcony with a casual outdoor dining setting, 2 sun lounges, plus a Weber BBQ.

The apartment has free WiFi and guests have access to free Netflix on the living room TV with Blu Ray player.

The kitchen is big enough for an entire family of cooks, and is well equipped with a family sized fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine, milk frother, microwave, gas cooktop, electric fan-forced oven, breakfast bar and stools, water purifying crock, plus all the pots and pans you need to self cater, if you wish to.

Where you’ll be

Sapphire Beach, New South Wales, Australia

It is a very short stroll from the apartment down the private complex driveway to access the very private Campbells' Beach, perfect for an evening stroll or early morning walk; plus three large pools, 2 perfect for young children and a seperate large beachside pool suitable for laps. A casual Thai style restaurant is onsite. A few k's north is Moonee Beach, Moonee Creek tidal estuary reserve, and Moonee Market shopping centre with an indoor kids playground; Coles supermarket, cafes, pharmacy, butchery, yoga studio and health food store.

Further north is the charming village of Emerald Beach which has three very good cafe's, two which offer takeaway at night, plus a small general store and three lovely beaches (good surfing spot), plus a playground and National Parks managed reserve Look At Me Now Headland, with easy walking tracks, and a great summertime surf beach (unpatrolled) on the southern side of the headland is protected from the nor'easterly wind, easily accessible by a well made pathway.

Bring your bicycles and safely cycle on pathways and dedicated cycling sections from Sapphire to Emerald Beach. Golfers will appreciate the long established Coffs Harbour Golf Course and clubhouse, and the very challenging plus very picturesque, world renown Bonville International Golf Course a 15 minute drive south, bookings essential.

From Sapphire, it's just 5 klms south to Park Beach Plaza the largest regional shopping centre in NSW; to restaurants; cafes; Coffs Creek Reserve, and the one of the local's favourite surf beaches - Diggers, which is patrolled in the summer school holidays; Park Beach which has regular patrols and Park Beach Surf Livesaving Club with restaurant, bar and ocean views.

If you prefer quieter sea bathing, head to the Jetty Beach on the southern side of the Marina. Take a walk along the northern breakwall and up Muttonbird Island Nature Reserve for superb views and some healthy exercise in the fresh sea air.

Sea water temperatures are around the 20+ degrees in early summer with warmer currents coming through from January right up until the end of June. Warm, sunny days and calm seas during the winter months, makes the Coffs Harbour area a very enjoyable and temperate winter holiday destination with the bonus of experiencing the whale migration.

Sapphire Retreat overlooks the Nautilus residendential villas to Campbell's Beach, which is a lovely, private, deeply sandy beach perfect for relaxation and play, however Campbells' Beach is not patrolled, and at times, due to an unseen undertow or wave conditions, it may be dangerous for visitors to swim here, we highly recommend you swim at the beachfront resort pool for your safety.
If you like fishing and have a recreational fishing license you can catch impressive sized Jewfish off Campbell's Beach when they're 'running' along the coast.

Patrolled beaches are located at Park Beach Coffs Harbour, Jetty Beach north, Sawtell Main Beach, Emerald Beach and Woolgoolga Main Beach, the surf lifesavers association recommends you swim between the flags when surf lifesavers are on patrol.

Coffs Harbour is renown for its kilometres of unspoilt coastline with uncrowded beaches and beautiful reserves, perfect for picnics and bathing. Walkers and hikers will enjoy the challenge of the Solitary Islands Coastal Walk, which can be done in sections. Muttonbird Island Nature Reserve and the North and South Breakwalls offer an easy to follow path and awesome views for walkers and joggers. Kiddies can ride their scooters and pushies along the waterfront path and stop off at the Foreshore playgrounds.

Surfers love Coffs, with so many beaches and headland breaks to explore, there's usually a wave to ride on either side of the numerous headlands. Diggers Beach, Back Emerald, Arrawarra and Mullaway are popular breaks, as well as the northern and most southern ends of Boambee Beach for the very experienced. Surfing lessons are available for all ages and genders, as long as you can swim in the sea unaided.

Kayak enthusiasts, SUP boarders, children and the elderly will delight in our calmer waters in the harbour and tidal estuaries at Boambee Creek Reserve, Coffs Creek, Moonee Creek Reserve and in the Bongil Bongil National Park. Best times to visit are on an incoming tide.

Hire a paddle board or kayak at Moonee Reserve and Boambee Creek Reserve ($5 gold coin entry). You can take a cultural paddle board tour at Red Rock with the highly recommended Wajaana Yaam Gumbaynggirr Adventure tours. All these reserves are great picnic places!

Scuba diving is popular in the unique marine environment of the Solitary Islands Marine Park and can be arranged through Jetty Dive centre.

Families will enjoy a visit to the Marine Science Centre at Charlesworth Bay, which has wonderful live exhibits of some of the local marine creatures in recreated habitats.

Deep sea fishing charters are available year round from the Marina and winter is the best time for fishing.

Whale watching is a favourite pastime and can be enjoyed from the apartment. Other vantage points are Look At Me Now headland at Emerald Beach and from the viewing platforms on Muttonbird Island Nature Reserve. Charter tours for whale watching can be booked at the Marina during the Humpback whale migration season, from May through October.

Challenge yourselves at Treetops Adventure Park at Sealy Lookout in Orara East State Forest, weave and glide through the treetops on rope courses, with on site instructors and activities suited for adults and kids from 3 years upwards. There's plenty to do in our area for families and plenty of outdoor places for kids to explore.

The hinterland west of Coffs offers visitors a breath of fresh air, with friendly historic country villages such as Coramba, Glenreagh and the bustling Bellingen.

Enjoy pleasant bush walks in ancient forests with waterfalls and picnic areas in the sub tropical rainforests of the Dorrigo National Park, Bruxner Park Flora Reserve, Bindarri NP and Sherwood Nature Reserve.

The historic township of Dorrigo is a lovely place to explore and has a few cafes and two lovely interestig boutiques with a range of items for gifts and home.

Restaurants and cafes, craft shops, historical museums, botanical gardens, art galleries and boutiques and all manner of interesting markets, breweries, bars, live music events, an historic cinema, a distillery and places of interest are there to be discovered by the intrepid traveler to our region.
