Plus, it’s easy to get to famous sites like Cape Tribulation and the Daintree. Enjoy breakfast at Caffiend or The Chambers, lunch at Greenfields and dinner at Salt House with its beautiful waterfront views. Don’t miss Cairns institution Rusty’s Markets (Friday-Sunday) to sample the region’s exotic fresh fruit, vegetables, breads, dairy and seafood from more than 180 stalls. The market also has a host of international food stalls, specialty products, clothing and gifts.

Cairns is a fantastic place to live and with lots of places to visit. The Esplanade, to Palm Cove, to Port Douglas the drive is amazing where the ocean meets the road. The Tablelands, the water falls, Gallo’s chocolate and cheese factory. Coffee works in Mareeba. The weather is fantastic in winter. The beaches are very beautiful. The different food Restaurants are amazing. A great place to live or visit.
