Great retreat within the city! So quiet and serene with a must see view. We loved the house and Jake was a perfect host!

Our group of 8 had the best time at Jake and Robyn's house. The house was absolutely perfect. We spent most of our time hanging out in the very spacious kitchen or out on the deck overlooking Placitas. The web site photos did not do the place justice. We just couldn't say enough about how beautifully decorated the house was from the nic- nacs on the shelf to the art work on the walls. The next time we go to New Mexico we will be giving Jake a call.

This was a great place for the weekend. We stayed with some friends from out of state and went on the Sandia La Luz hike during the weekend. The house was comfortable, with a great kitchen, comfortable living space, and a lovely deck. The host was very easy to communicate with and accommodating.

This was my (our) first time to use AirBnB and my family had a blast. There were eight of us on the trip but the house easily has room for more. The location was great for our needs as we wanted to see several sites in ABQ, Sanra Fe, and the Jemez Springs area. After a bit of trouble with arriving / entering the house, we found everything went smoothly. The house is as advertised with plenty of room to get together and spread out, when desired and most, if not all the cooking utensils needed. The only downside for us was the consistently poor mobile phone reception. This is not uncommon to the mountains so just be prepared for it. In all, we found the home and the location perfect for our 4th of July family trip. -M2

Host stopped over for a quick but genuine welcome. All was as described and expected. A very comfortable home with plenty of blankets, towels and basics for cleaning, laundry, and kitchen. The only hitch was that TV reception is limited. There was a problem with the satellite beyond the owner's control, but once we did get it there were few channels. A very small problem in general as the place was packed with movies and the views and hiking were great!

Jake's home was an ideal rendezvous point for my family that came from equidistant points in the southwest to be together for Christmas. With four fully furnished bedrooms and two full baths we enjoyed togetherness while retaining our privacy. The beds were comfortable, and their blanket game was on point. Hangers and suitcase stands in each closet were a nice touch. The house is as advertised and that is a plus, there were no bad surprises. Highlights included the big deck with great views of the foothills right off of the huge kitchen. (It snowed there the day after Christmas!) The kitchen featured an amazing island and sprawling dining table leaving us plenty of room to cook and socialize at the same time. All of the cooking gear you could need was already there. The dishwasher worked great as well. There was a washer and dryer for laundry. The living room had lots of seating and a working easy-to-use fireplace. We found fire wood neatly stocked outside as if an Elf had made every effort to make our stay easy and pleasant. Lastly the TV lounge off of the formal sitting room was perfect for watching movies together. Lots of seating, a high rez TV, good sound, DVD player and a secondary heater. In warmer months you could open more doors to open the lounge up to the deck as well. The house was also dog friendly, I brought my pup and she really enjoyed a nice patch of landscape off of the deck that was neatly fenced in. So, I could let her play without fear of the coyotes. The home was decorated with lots of interesting art, very Santa Fe. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. The neighborhood was upscale, not as isolated as it appeared on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Earth, which was a comfort. The only thing I would caution others about would be the weak wi-fi signal. Maybe that is just how it is in the foothills. We were not able to stream videos on our phones or tablets, but other than that we had a magical Christmas and I would stay here again.

OMGosh! Wonderful place beyond expectations! Husband travels all week staying in hotels. So for our daughter's college graduation he wanted to have family enjoy the comforts of home while away. The Finklestein's place delivered! Luxury linens with clean quality living space and a kitchen stocked with any tool you could possibly need.

I am happily married for 40 years, am a professional auctioneer for 32 years and love nature and the outdoors, as well as traveling and exploring beautiful places. I have been a serious student of the Bible for 40 years as well, and have seen the fulfillment of Bible prophecy in my lifetime, leading me to the conclusion that soon God will end all wickedness and restore paradise conditions worldwide. We try to live the golden rule, and like to associate with people who do the same.
