we are only 6 miles from the Scottish border of Gretna Green which is famous for people running away to get married. We are also only 45 mins drive from beginning of the Lake District which is accessible on M6. We are only about 13 miles away from hadrians wall the best places to see the wall are Birdoswald and Vindolanda which has a ruins site to walk around and a museum to visit. Also on the way to hadrians wall is Lanercost Priory Carlisle castle is approx 7 miles away and is well worth a look. We are very lucky to be located in a historical area.
