King Street is very close to shops, cafes, restaurants being near the very centre of Kirkwall. Its in a very handy spot if you like shopping or not having to walk too far after a night out in the town. Older style houses with many being renovated. We are very near to the King Street Halls and The Old Library which has many music events on and only a couple of minutes walking distance. Although in an area with lots going on the large shared garden is peaceful and there is seating in the courtyard, to enjoy a glass or two or cup of tea/coffee after a hectic day touring our islands.

I enjoy walking my cocker spaniel Oliver and we have done many beautiful walks in Kirkwall and Orkney. My other interests are cooking and sometimes baking but not so much. I am a big Queen fan and loved the movie Bohemian Rhapsody so much I went to see it twice and would go again! My favourite destination is Croatia, The Rockies in Canada (Rocky Mountaineer) and Skye is on my bucket list! I enjoy red wine especially with Stockans oatcakes and Orkney cheese! I love entertaining friends and meeting them for lunch and coffee. We have a very good drama, music scene here in Orkney and enjoy going to concerts and plays. To have me as a airbnb host - I try and do my best for guests and make them feel comfortable in The Toon Hoose as possible. My motto would be "Do the right thing, do the best you can and always show people you care"
