Come and stay on our small-scale organic-in-conversion regenerative farm in Waitui, on the Mid-North Coast of NSW. Our beautiful property is the perfect blend of farm and bush - we are tucked away in a quiet and picturesque valley right along the edge of the forest. Meet our pigs and learn about regenerative and organic farming, and you'll also find plenty of other activities in the local area involving food, farming, and nature! Then sit back and relax, surrounded by trees and wildlife.

The space
Our farmstay cottage has 1 bedroom with a queen bed and a single trundle bed. In the living room, we have a high-quality sofa bed with a thick mattress for additional guests. We also have a portacot (travel cot) and a high chair available for infants/toddlers. The cottage has an open plan kitchen and living area, with a full kitchen (including fridge, oven, stove etc). The covered verandah is spacious and has an outdoor table setting and barbecue, perfect for meals surrounded by the sound of birds chirping in the forest.

Guest access
We are just 20 minutes off the freeway, between Taree and Port Macquarie. Please note the last approx. 2km of the drive is a well-maintained dirt road (fine for all types of cars, 4WD is not necessary). The drive from the freeway to our farm is stunning, as the road takes you through the picturesque Hannam Vale valley into Waitui. If you're lucky, you might even meet some of the local dairy cows on the road!

Guests are welcome to wander around our property, at certain times of the year you can even pick some citrus to munch on while you explore. We have pigs and a few chickens/ducks/guinea fowl on the farm, and depending on time of year we may also have cows. Guests are welcome to visit the animals throughout their stay here, but please note: the first animal visit must be with Sarah or Aaron so we can explain the rules to keep humans and animals safe.

We often have pork from our organic-fed pigs for sale throughout the year, sometimes we also have our organically-raised grass-fed beef available. Depending on the season we may also have citrus, macadamias and other garden produce available for purchase.

Other things to note
Please note this is a working farm and we do have 3 dogs that live on the property. They are very friendly Kelpies who love people - especially kids! Our farm is their home too, and we will not lock them up for the duration of your stay - so if you are afraid of dogs, this may not be the right place for your holiday.

In the winter months, we provide 1 tub of firewood included in the cost of your booking. Additional tubs of firewood are $10 each.

Neighbourhood highlights

Although we are just 20 minutes from the highway, our little valley is secluded and peaceful.

There are many activities on offer in the local community. The Hannam Vale general store serves meals, cakes and tea/coffee. The Dairy at Johns River run enjoyable and educational farm tours which people rave about. In summer, you can even go and pick-your-own blueberries at a blueberry farm just down the road.

The beautiful Waitui Falls is just a few minutes down the road. There are plenty of other lookout points and nature walks to do in the area also. We have a creek running along the back of our property, which you are welcome to explore.
