Nestled within 30 acres of private farmland & ancient woodland, The Hide at The Hideaways is a sanctuary designed to help you slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature, yourself, and the people who matter most. Here, the relentless pace of modern life fades, replaced by the gentle rhythms of the countryside. Whether unwinding in your private double hot tub & sauna, or cozying up by the fireplace, every moment invites simplicity, serenity, and a deeper appreciation for life’s quiet joy
The space
Lounge Area:
At the centre of the space is the lounge, where you'll find plenty of unique bespoke furniture along with a few homely touches that I hope you'll make use of. The sofa sits neatly in this space with a handmade birch ply shelving unit siting on back wall housing a variety of books, games, wildlife spotting essentials, yoga & wellness equipment. Opposite the sofa sits a wall mounted TV with Freeview, Netflix & amazon prime apps. At the end of the space sits a wood burner with a complimentary basket of firewood & kindling.
Kitchen Area:
Topped with a solid walnut work surfaces the modern kitchen is filled with all the amenities and appliances you could ever need including an oven, fridge, microwave, kettle, hob and much more. You'll also find an espresso maker & cafetière with complementary loose tea and ground coffee. A breakfast bar with bespoke stools made with 150-year-old antique pine sits opposite the kitchen allowing ample space for dinning. You’ll find all the household essentials including an iron, ironing board, hair dryer and a vacuum along with smaller consumables under the sink.
Bed Area:
The position of the king size pocket sprung memory foam bed is on a raised platform, facing outwards to the horizon with a view of the hills in the distance giving you the perfect view to wake up to, flanked by an integrated wardrobe with hanging space and shelving. A Luxury bed linen set will ensure a perfect nights sleep for everyone. 2 individual reading lights at each side of the bed provide ample lighting for all your bedtime needs.
Bathroom:
The first thing you'll notice as you enter the bathroom is the handmade terrazzo wall tiles imported direct from Italy. You'll find a LED halo light up mirror with sink sat atop a hand crafted elm vanity unit. Fresh towels is provided and available on the heated towel rail. A top of the range plumbed power shower is located in a spacious dedicated shower unit with luxury shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, soap provided on a complementary basis.
Outside:
A private enclosed spacious deck provides a panoramic view of the beautiful Devon countryside with views onto the distant hills. On entrance to the deck you’ll be greeted by our luxury sauna & hot tub both lovingly created to provide complete relaxation. Why not retire to the luxury outdoor sofa to relax. A bench sits perfectly between the two allowing you a place to sit and enjoy outside dinning on those warm summer nights. Relax and unwind in the hammock with a book. Mood lighting lines the deck creating subtle glow as the sun goes down or leave them off and gaze up at the never-ending stars.
You'll also have access to 10 acres of private meadow filled with a variety of wildlife ranging from deer & foxes to rabbits, song birds and buzzards.
Guest access
Guests have exclusive access to the cabin, rear deck and their private hot tub & sauna.
Guests also have shared access to the 30 acres of ancient woodland and meadow in which the cabin sits to explore and enjoy as you wish.
Some areas of the property are private, however these areas are marked by “no entry” signs.
Other things to note
Electric car charging is available through an external type 2 charger (lead or conversion socket not provided)
Dogs are more than welcome. We ask that they are kept under control with a lead required if recall is poor or chase instinct is high. Maximum 1 dog.
A small dog day care is located on our farm, you may hear a bark a faint bark during your stay however this is kept to a minimum. (The day care does not operate during the weekend)
