My work: Twizel Holiday Homes
Lives in Twizel, New Zealand
Twizel Holiday Homes has been connecting folk like you with holiday houses in the Twizel area of New Zealand for more than 10 years. Ever since I came to Twizel I've been constantly impressed by the landscape which has the natural results of tectonic plates at work always on display. Rugged mountains softened by snow in winter but bare and beautiful in summer and autumn. Retreating glaciers have gifted us 5 lakes and a landscape that’s a feast for the eyes at any time of the year. As I drive around the corner, going home, there is Mt Cook looking like its just at the end of the street. When I am not in the office I enjoy the finer things in life that are being produced locally. Wine, beer, cheese and the best fresh water farmed salmon in the world are produced here. A suggestion! After driving around the South island for a few days take a little time in one of our houses to get the laundry done and stretch your legs on a walk by the river or further afield. Recall what it was like on a bike when you were younger by riding one of the many local tracks or part of the Alps to Ocean Cycle Trail. Some of the biggest trout caught in the world have been caught here recently and some are waiting to be caught? Are they waiting for you? The night sky in Twizel is as spectacular as anywhere else in the Mackenzie Basin. In winter our view into the Milky Way is even better than it is in summer. You can choose a house on the edge of town or in the countryside and sit on the patio and gaze at the stars, maybe even see the space station go by. We are pleased to offer you a choice of houses from the modest to the splendid, all well equipped and very clean. These are Kiwis' holiday homes. The owners enjoy sharing them with you as we do. My tip as a local? Keep your camera handy! The magic moments formed on the landscape by the combination of foliage, the sun, water and clouds only lasts minutes. Your memories will stay but if you want to show others then capture them when you see them.
