Other things to note
**PLEASE READ ENTIRE LISTING DESCRIPTION, CONSTRUCTION & HURRICANE SALLY UPDATE, & HOUSE RULES BEFORE REQUESTING A RESERVATION.*** As you will see in our reviews, we are extremely hospitable and do our VERY best to ensure every detail of your stay is as enjoyable as possible and truly meets your expectations. This is why its extremely important that we are completely transparent regarding our construction process on the back of home/property as well as the damage to the Pensacola Bay Bridge causing a much longer route to Pensacola Beach.

WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR BOOKING PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING:

1)Tell us a little about yourself and those who will stay in the apartment in terms of how many and your visit to Pensacola.

2) Confirm you have read our CONSTRUCTION UPDATE & HURRICANE SALLY update as well as our entire property description and HOUSE RULES.

==========================================================

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE - We are beginning construction in the near future on the back portion of our property and expect the construction to complete by fall of this year. In the spirit of COMPLETE transparency and ESPECIALLY to ensure our guests continue to have an excellent experience with us, we've implemented the following:

1) At the time of initial booking, require the guest making the reservation to confirm he or she has read our "Construction & Hurricane Sally Update" and accept that there will be noise during the workday. We generally work Monday - Saturday, but sometimes take off on Saturdays. Work starts generally no earlier than 9:30 a.m. and end by 5:30 p.m. (See item #4 regarding special accommodations)

2) As the owners of the property, we are always onsite during the construction and/or have our project manager present to supervise all work activities. At NO time, would any construction crew members enter the apartment or the apartment courtyard area.

3) We have lowered our nightly rates considering having construction in the back of our home/property is not "ideal" for our guests in general. By booking with us after reviewing this "CONSTRUCTION & HURRICANE SALLY UPDATE", you agree that you are accepting the construction noise without getting angry and/or negatively impacting our Airbnb review. We hope that you will base your review on all of the rest of your experience with your stay in our lovely apartment and utilization of the apartment courtyard area and other furnishings that we provide for you.

4) We will do our very best to accommodate our guests' "sleep-in" schedule when it comes to our work start time each day. If you have any special requirements relating to this please ensure you message us after your arrival to find out if we can accommodate you.

5) Finally, we work very hard to ensure we maintain our 5-star ratings and would not want you to stay with us and be upset regarding the construction noise. Please book with us ONLY if you are ok with accepting the noise and messiness in the back of our property during your stay.(within the hours mentioned above when it comes to the noise :-) )

HURRICANE SALLY DAMAGE UPDATE
1. Our Home - Our home fortunately survived the storm very well with only cosmetic damage primarily to some of the window screens and our beautiful little white picket fencing. We also lost a 100+ year old tree unfortunately which is still a bit unsightly but cut back enough that it does not pose a danger to anyone walking or driving by. We just ask that no one tries to climb on the remaining portion of the tree.

2. The Pensacola Bay/ 3-mile bridge - If you are planning for time at Pensacola Beach, please plan for extra travel time to and from the beach.

There are normally two bridges which are used to get out to Pensacola Beach, one which connects Pensacola(the mainland) to the little town of Gulf Breeze(Pensacola Bay Bridge...locally known as the 3-mile bridge) and a second one called the Pensacola Beach bridge which connects Gulf Breeze to Santa Rosa Beach island (better known as Pensacola Beach).

Unfortunately, the Pensacola Bay/3-mile bridge was severely damaged during Hurricane Sally. It was supposed to be repaired and open by the end of March; however, they found more/unexpected damage in early March which has extended the repair plan out into the summer with no current estimated completion date provided to the public.

The good news is there are currently two other ways to get to Pensacola Beach. The bad news is that it takes significantly longer to get there. We are normally just 6 to 7 miles from the beach depending upon where you are going; however, the use of the two bridge options below put us about 30+ miles to the beach. :-(

Option 1(the closest to us): Use the Garcon Point bridge which will take you into Gulf Breeze and then to the Pensacola Beach bridge.

Option 2(further away from us): Use the Navarre Beach bridge which will take you to Pensacola Beach from the East end.

As mentioned earlier, our neighborhood truly is one of the most coveted and sought after neighborhoods in Pensacola which means the home owners take tremendous pride in ownership as well as respect for neighbors. We expect our guests to take care of our property during their stay and respect our neighbors. Two big areas which will help with this are noise control and/or keeping personal belongings outside and garbage picked up and put in its proper outdoor cans.
