Sparkling clean7 recent guests have said that this home was sparkling clean.

Very private log house with wrap-around deck gets great afternoon and evening sun. This is a comfortable house by traditional Alaskan standards. It has hot and cold running water, oil heating, full kitchen, bath and a bedroom. But the logs are rough, and sometimes the dust, pollen, and mosquitos seem a little out of control. If this sounds appealing to you, check us out!

This house is a hidden treasure. The price does not define the value at all. This house is huge has tons of basic amenities. An extremely nice bathroom for a dry cabin. (Has a huge tank so it doesn’t feel like a dry cabin) I loved the location surrounded by woods but it was close…

Response from Paul:
Thanks for such kind words, Calysta. For the record, the cabin is considered to be a "hauled water" cabin ... it has full plumbing and septic. In Fairbanks, most people consider a "dry cabin" one carries water in 5 gallon jugs. It is heated on the stove for dishes and sponge baths. Instead of a drain, you toss the used water off the deck. New UAF college students deciding to live in the dorms, rent an apartment in town or rent a "dry cabin" ... sometimes misunderstand "dry cabin" to mean one in which alcohol is not allowed. Oh, to be young again!! 8-)

We had a great stay in the cabin. It had everything we needed and was close enough to the city that we could go into town easily. If we make it back to Fairbanks, we will be seeing if this cabin is available.
