My husband and I with our golden retriever "Ramsay" were lucky enough to stay with Carla and her partner for 3 nights- our first visit to Canada! Carla was so sweet and accommodating, very knowledgeable of the area, and made us delicious breakfasts. They were so easy to talk with…

Bonnybank is lovely & enchanting. Carla is a wonderful host whose knowledge of the area is an added bonus, as is her dog Cedar. The semi-secluded location is a great escape from the city, offering an opportunity to enjoy nature, with a highlight of being able to see the great h…

Carla is a very nice host, will treat you to her home grown vegetables and fruits for breakfast as well as provide suggestions of where to go if you ask. The house is nice and secluded, but still close to wineries if you are driving.

No owls, old beds, if it's yellow let it mellow.

Response from Carla:
Hi Dylan, will send an email to you as well as leaving this public response. When you asked to come in a couple of hours before my regular check-in time at 5pm, I said yes so I could help you. I think you needed to check-in early so you and your girlfriend could change before the wedding you were attending. I put you in a side-room that I specifically said was NOT your room, and that was NOT made up for B&B guests...but it gave you a private space to change in. I thought you understood that you were there to just change and leave right away, because that was your reason to have come in early. I'm not sure why but you in fact did not come out of that room for a couple of hours which screwed me up for the next set of guests that also wanted to come in early and needed that room to change in too. They were upset with me that it was not available. They gave me a negative review because they didn't understand. // Your room, the room you had booked, the Escarpment Room, was being used by the young man who had his wedding party here overnight and they had not vacated your room yet cause they were getting ready for his wedding. Once they left in their limo, I got the Escarpment room ready for you which is what I said I would do for you. You had already left for the wedding you were attending and your room was ready by about 5pm, assuming you'd be back about midnight or later. The bed in the Escarpment Room is brand new from one of the best furniture stores in Canada. I'm sorry you didn't come back because you would have liked the bed and the room that you had booked but never saw. You should have told me your concerns when you left and I would have explained. Very hard on me to have guests upset after the fact, but not letting me know at the time so I can help them. This is my home and I'm not a hotel..I try to look out for everyone's requests to make things work for their holiday. Sometimes I "can't win for losing" I think the saying is.... I try my best to help everyone. Hope to meet you again so we can make up for the misunderstanding that you never saw the room you had booked and that I had indeed had it ready for you by the regular check-in time. take care, Dylan
