I had a very serious problem with this location. The room smelled of smoke and must (despite the fact that it was a no-smoking room), and there were bugs everywhere in the bedroom. Two kinds of moths, mosquitoes and creepy crawly god knows what. I came back from my evening conce…
Response from Patricia:
Jacqueline checked in about 3:30. Yes, her check was delayed till 12(by one hour), it upset her. When she arrived, she showered and left within the hour. She is the only person who has complained about the room, the guests prior to her who left that morning had nothing but good things to say. Maybe she is just extremely sensitive to her surroundings. I noticed she left her lights on however I will not enter the guests rooms. Jacqueline arrived back from Tanglewood around midnight. There may have been a couple moths from her leaving the light on so long but her description is wildly inaccurate, exaggerated and ridiculous. She did not leave at 12:30 as my daughter heard her and woke up to find her in the hallway between 1:30am and 1:45. If the room was as she said it was she could have talked to me at anytime( I would’ve been so very interested to see the room in this state). All guests are told from the moment we meet if there are any questions or concerns I can be reached instantly at any hour. I do apologize that my location is not clearly marked and I will let the town know you do not like all mailboxes being on the right hand side but if you haven’t noticed this is common in the country. This is not the city and when a door opens you may get the occasional moth. Thank goodness you didn’t encounter any of the wildlife, it may just have killed you. It’s a shame you only stayed for the shower and headed home but perhaps the country isn’t for you. You might be better off staying in the city where it’s “safe”. One bad apple doesn’t spoil the whole bunch, especially in the Country.
