Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! The house worked perfectly for a reunion with our Oregon family. The toys were a hit with our three-year-old grand daughter. Don't miss the collection of dvd's in the Legolas box in the closet. Well stocked with towels and kitchen items. Fun location to walk to the Alberta Street stores and restaurants.

Two families meeting up in Portland stayed here comfortably (4 adults, 2 kids, 1 toddler). There were lots of kid-friendly touches that were much appreciated - high chair, pack and play, stepstool for the bathroom, etc. Kitchen was well-equipped and the house itself was beautiful. We easily took the bus into downtown Portland and there were coffee shops, restaurants, and grocery store nearby. There was a little snafu with the cleaning between previous guests and our arrival, but Kurt quickly took care of it and the rest of the weekend was fabulous! Would definitely stay here again.

Kurt's home was great! He was communicative and easy to work with. The house is beautiful, stocked with all the basics (cookware, coffee + tea, shampoo) and a perfect size for our group of 5. We would happily stay there again.

Absolutely charming, great place to discover the Alberta area. Edison bulbs, fast wifi, and a lot of blankets are highlights. The driveway is a little rough to get up, our Ford Fusion scraped on it quite a bit.

Kurt's home is great! It's airy, bright, modern, warm, cozy, and well equipped, and probably one of my favorite airbnbs of all time. I stayed here with a group of five other friends and we all appreciated the little thoughtful, unexpected touches we found throughout the space that made it more special, such as hair appliances in the bathroom vanity and cool pieces of functional design in the kitchen and bathroom. The sofa bed was slightly complicated to put together but Kurt includes instructions in a helpful binder that's also full of restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. This place was the perfect home base for our jaunts around Alberta (less than a ten minute walk to several great restaurants, coffee, and ice cream) and a 15-minute Lyft ride into downtown. Thanks Kurt for a memorable and comfortable stay!

My friendly, down-to-earth hospitality style reflects my Midwestern roots, but I've found my true home in the natural beauty and cultural openness of the Pacific Northwest. I've lived in Alberta Arts for more than a decade, and I've enjoyed watching it become the mecca of food, drink, coffee, shopping and relaxing that it is today. It's a privilege to share this great neighborhood and region with friends, family and visitors from all over the world.
