Great location
93% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Comfortable, cozy, clean and cool. High ceilings and open spaces give this freshly remodeled house a modern, airy feel. Perfectly located on a quiet, leafy street near the center of everything. Walk to restaurants, bars, boutiques, galleries & more.

The space
As experienced and persnickety travelers ourselves, we designed this spac with the goal of creating a place we would love to stay.

High ceilings and clean lines create a bright, airy atmosphere. The open-concept kitchen, dining and living areas have a modern/industrial look and every amenity you need to settle into your new home base and explore one of Portland’s most interesting neighborhoods.

Set the coffee maker to wake up to the smell of one of Portland’s famous roasts. The spacious king bedroom is fitted with luxury linens and plenty of extra space for a yoga mat or two. The bathroom is bright and clean, with original claw-foot tub/shower and extra-large towels. The second bedroom, off the kitchen, is a cozy hideaway for up to three kids (bunk bed is twin over full), another couple or a quiet office for mom or dad. Additional guests may sleep on the full sofabed in the living room. The house sleeps 1-5 adults or a family quite comfortably, making it perfect for a romantic getaway, family vacation, in-laws' visit, girls' weekend, or even a solo business traveler who wants to explore beyond downtown.

Our goal is to help you fall as in love with Portland as we are. Let us know what we can do to make you feel comfortable and at home before and during your stay.

Where you’ll be

Portland, Oregon, United States

Alberta Arts is at the heart of Portland’s legendary indie business community. It’s a mile-long stretch of originality where you can buy a vintage skirt for $10 around the corner from a rare book shop that sells first editions for thousands. It’s where now-famous chefs became famous and where baristas get in shape for international competitions.

If you want to try all of the great restaurants, bars, cafés, food carts and coffeeshops of Alberta Arts, you’ll need to stay a month. But if you don’t have that long, don’t worry. We can give you a short list of musts. Here are a few highlights, for your Googling pleasure: Beast, Pine State Biscuits, Ciao Vito, Barista, Aviary, Salt & Straw Ice Cream, Pok Pok Noi (not technically on Alberta, but only a 13 minute walk).

Alberta Street is home to Last Thursday, a monthly street festival that closes the street for a few hours in the evening for gallery hopping, live music, people-watching, fire dancing, street art and performances of all kinds.

Every Sunday from early May through mid-(email hidden)ly Portland Neighborhood Farmers Market takes place just two blocks away on the grounds of King Elementary School.

What makes this property even more perfectly located is its proximity to not just Alberta, but also the N. Williams and N. Mississippi business districts, home of even more great food, wine, beer and coffee, fashion and home goods. A short bike ride or a long-ish walk will take you to either of these pockets of goodness in a snap.

My friendly, down-to-earth hospitality style reflects my Midwestern roots, but I've found my true home in the natural beauty and cultural openness of the Pacific Northwest. I've lived in Alberta Arts for more than a decade, and I've enjoyed watching it become the mecca of food, drink, coffee, shopping and relaxing that it is today. It's a privilege to share this great neighborhood and region with friends, family and visitors from all over the world.
