Where you’ll be

Brora, Scotland, United Kingdom

Dunmore is a fantastic location to explore Brora and the surrounding area. We have a sandy beach great for walking, paddling and making sand castles, and a pebble beach, great for rock pooling.
You can often see surfers, fishing boats and the occasional cruise ship on the horizon. See if you can spot seals and otters in the river Brora! If your a twitcher please remember your binoculars. Brora is known for it golf course which is situated across the river. The area is great for walking, cycling, horse riding ( the stables are just 5 minutes drive away).

If you want to venture 10 mins down the road (by car) we have beautiful Loch Brora, where you can fly fish (you will probably spot a few stags on route). Or if you fancy a wee dram take a tour at Clynelish Distillery only 1.4 miles away, a great walk on a sunny day. Just 5 miles south is Dubrobin castle, gardens and falconry. Loch Fleet a national nature reserve is 12 miles south, at low tide seals can be spotted sunbathing on the sand banks. If you want to head further afield why not try and spot Nessie, and hour and half drive south.

We are located on the NC500, 63 miles further north is John O’Groats, where you can jump on a ferry to Orkney to see the puffins.
