Sunny cottage with marsh views, under 5 minute walk to town. Eat on the water in one of the many village restaurants, rent a kayak or paddle board. Go "down river" like a local! Shop the world renowned antique stores or enjoy the local beaches.
There are many unique places to visit in Gloucester, Manchester, Rockport, Ipswich, Salem and of course Boston. There is a Visitor Manual for your convenience and we would be happy to answer questions that you might have.

The space
Our cottage is unique mix of town and country living because you can walk into the village and also enjoy an expansive view of the marsh.
The cottage used to be a stand alone building, but 6 years ago we added an addition to the "main house" which connected to the cottage. (see listing photo) Therefore the cottage is attached but a retreat unto itself. Some cottages are dark, but the southern exposure and light from across the marsh makes the space glow.

Guest access
After descending the stone stairs to the courtyard you will see the door straight ahead. Directly inside is a laundry area and a half bath. Up 3 stairs and in front of you will be the door to your private area: Living room, kitchenette and upstairs a bedroom and bathroom.

Other things to note
Laundry available on request... also ironing board and iron.
Laundry and half bath in entry is communal space.
When in season there is an outdoor shower that can be enjoyed.
Guests are welcome to sit and enjoy the front courtyard (communal) or use their private deck out back.
There is a separate off street parking lot that can accommodate 2 vehicles off the main road (not in the back of the main house). Parking directions will be sent before arrival.

My husband and I live in the main house and cherish our privacy as much as you, so we hope to be hands off, but friendly, helpful, and of course available, if needed. Our passions include boating, gardening, cooking, reading, and studying languages. On our times away from our businesses we love to travel, and have been Airbnb guests all over the world. It has been a great experience for us, and since we have this little cottage that hasn't had much use, we decided to experience the other side of Airbnb. We look forward to guests having the opportunity to enjoy this lovely part of the north shore. Meeting different people, building relationships, sharing cultures and showing kindness can change the world.
