Granville House is a very old farmhouse on the old pack horse route from Gargrave to a Settle.
We offer luxury accommodation with panoramic views.
We are suitable for families, couples and groups of friends.
The gardens are very pretty but the back garden has an unprotected deep pond and an unprotected drop into the car park so children must be supervised at all times. The setting is very rural with sheep and cows in the fields around us. Wild animals wander around too, the night sky is dark.
Granville House is very spacious surrounded by beautiful views from all windows. If the sun is shining in Bell Busk it will shine on Granville House from early morning until the sun sets. We are not in the shade.
You will be staying in the house shaped part of this Yorkshire Laithe ( not in the barn end) so go up to the far end on the East side of the building. Guests enjoy private parking for 3 cars and a private entrance to their holiday cottage. Please enter and leave via the cream door. Please close the gates to keep out the nosey neighbours (Sheep and cows).
Interaction with guests
Granville House is a self catering holiday cottage. We try to welcome guests on arrival or shortly afterwards. Sometimes this is not possible so on these occasions we shall let you know how to access the key. There is an information folder in the kitchen with absolutely everything you need to know from how to use the Aga and how to heat the water.
Other things to note
We have many leaflets detailing attractions that are either local or within 90 minutes drive from here. Granville House is ideally located with easy access onto fast roads or country lanes. We are business ready with super fast broadband in the large kitchen and dining room, a laptop friendly workplace, iron and hair dryer.
We are insured for 6 people plus a baby, absolutely no more than that! If you arrive with more people we will help you find alternative accommodation. There is a deep pond and unprotected drops in the back garden, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Ball games can be played in the field. Guests must wear slippers or socks indoors to protect the cream carpets and waxed floor boards. We provide clean slippers for those who forget. We expect our guests to recycle. We provide the bags for recycling. Unwanted vegetables can be put on the compost area behind the garage. The septic tank works well but it only likes human waste and loo paper. The information booklet explains in more detail.
