Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Beachfront + fire pit + sauna.

Set on the sand-dunes of Pirates Bay our beachfront cottage is an original 1970s fishing shack.

Rustic and full of character this is a true shack experience. The sound of the roaring waves surrounds you in this amazing nook nestled on the bay.

The space
Despite sleeping up to 6 this shack is cozy and perfect for couples.

The living room has large cedar windows and French doors that open up onto the deck. There is a small master bedroom with cedar windows and beautiful views.

The other two bedrooms are very tiny, one has a double bed and the other has bunks.

The kitchen is the original 1970 one, and is unrenovated, simple and compact.

There is a glorious 2 person sauna.

Guest access
The entire house is yours to explore and use. The shack is one of two properties sharing a driveway. The other shack next door is also is on airbnb and may have guests staying - so you may run into them in the car park, in the backyard or getting wood from the wood shed!

Other things to note
This is very much a 1970s shack - not a luxury beach-house. So there are imperfections, old doors and cracks. The odd creepy crawly can make its way inside despite our fastidious housekeepers best efforts.

The house isn’t set up for young children and isn’t childproofed for little ones (in terms of a fireplace, access to the beach with no gates, and falls from the deck steps).

Our housekeepers and maintenance team may be onsite on other areas of the property without notice to attend to essential maintenance. This can include firewood deliveries, water deliveries, gardening and other essential duties.

Safety note - over time we have found old bottles buried in the sand dunes. We remove what we find but with the ever changing sand dunes every few years more are uncovered. For your own safety please do not walk or run in the dunes or bushes.
