The old Gunning butcher's shop. Beautiful high ceilings, lots of rustic charm. A good simple place to stay. Kids more than welcome, but there is probably only room for 1, possibly 2, small kids. Under cover parking for a small SUV or sedan.

Greg is an author and his book 'The Nail House' can be purchased at The Picture House Gallery Bookshop in the main street of Gunning or if they are closed from Fairlight Books (check online). If you have a copy drop by and Greg will sign your copy :)

Other things to note
The oven does not work any more, so please use the hotplate and microwave provided.

Added some board games we found. If you fall in love with a book that's there just message us and more than likely it would be ok for you to take it with you. Just check with us first. :)

Many bnbs listed on Air bnb do not provide food, and we are one of those. We both work full time and providing all that would be difficult. We also decided when we started doing this to provide accommodation at the price we think is reasonable. To do that we keep it clean, beautiful, but simple. We do not want to have to increase prices- its increasingly getting more difficult to find in-expensive quality accommodation.

Loads of extra blankets in winter, and more in our house if you need them. We have installed aircon as the lowest carbon way to heat and cool the place. With high ceilings, it does take time to heat up. There are electric blankets as well on the bed. We do not supply additional heating- we are looking for a low carbon footprint.

We have long term plans, when the pricing is right, to buy a battery and solar set up to make the space carbon neutral.
