Come experience West Texas
Wildhorse Creek Country Cottage is on a 118 year old working farm with a State of Texas designation as a Heritage Farm-Ranch.

The space
Guests will have a room with an antique (full size) bed and a private bath. The room includes a small refrigerator and microwave and free wi-fi. Plenty of parking space. Roll-away bed or pac 'n play for infants is available. Welcome basket of fruit or snacks and bottled water. No meals provided. Air conditioning and/or individual room heater. All linens provided.

You have a serene setting in a totally remodeled farm "milk-house"-- not where cows were, but where milk was processed and cooled. Chairs and tv (with 15 digital channels and dvd player), books to read, rural silence. Hot tub when seasonal. Fire pit available close by. Watch the stunning Texas sunsets and observe the full night star-filled sky without light pollution. Newly redecorated and nice crisp linens.

We are located on the top of a small picturesque hill surrounded by West Texas fields and pastures with a wide-open view. We are 12 miles from town just off a state highway. This is a working farm with chickens, goats, and more.

Where you’ll be

Colorado City, Texas, United States

You will be atop a rural hill with a sweeping view of approximately 30 miles to the south and west. AMAZING sunrises and sunsets. Any far enough away from light pollution that the stars will dazzle you!

A lake for kayaking is 5 miles away (and some fishing) and a great fishing lake is nearby (bass, crappie, catfish)

Good geocaches nearby and throughout the county.

The full size bed frame is a family heirloom from Civil War era (NEW mattresses of course!!). A good quality roll away is available for a third person.
