Canal House is a wonderful home away from home. It is very private and with everything you need to cook and be comfortable there while also being so close to Den Hague Centraal station and the trams and the beautiful and lively city of Den Hague. Sonia is a great host . She is su…

We spent four nights here at Sonia's place. Sonia has been great with the communication from the day we booked till the day we checked out. She started giving us tips even before we left Australia! She updates us on relevant events and discounts so we are aware of them. Picking u…

Sonia was a welcoming host, generous with advice about restaurants and what to see, and also generous with little extras such as an exceptionally tasty fruit loaf and locally made syrup waffles. The Canal House was pretty much as described and shown pictorially, although the phot…

John, thanks for your words of appreciation! 2 things...Yes, it is a clutter across the street! It's as if The Hague HAS to spend our tax money rebuilding Ministries! Secondly, as a mid-50er myself - the apartment stairs should be seen as a visualisation of a corporate ladder! You're so thrilled at the top that you need to sleep!!! Hope to see you this side of the great pond soon again. Thank you and Steph for the wonderful gift!

My stay at the Canal House was very pleasant. The apartment is accurately described- with a separate and roomy kitchen, and a relaxing loung area. Sonia is a host that goes beyond what is expected. The breakfast, which was supplied, included homemade granola and the most amazing…

LOVE Sonia and her place. Both stylish, artistic - and very welcoming. The apartment is spacious, well appointed and well equipped. And terrific location, one minute from the central station and five minutes from the city centre. Couldn't ask for more.

Sonia made us feel very welcome. Lovely loft apartment. Great home made cereal and spreads etc was left for our use. Very central easy walk to the train station. The only negative was that I couldn't get access to the washing machine as it was in her joining house and was char…

Jeanette, glad that you enjoyed your stay and the homemade goodies I provide my guests at the Canal House. In my house manual use of the washing machine is explained. Sorry that you expected a free wash, but it costs energy, resources and time. To prevent any future misunderstandings I'll add this detail to my description. Safe travels & look forward to hosting you again.
