Screened alfresco room with a Weber BBQ and outdoor setting — perfect for enjoying afternoon drinks while soaking in the sunset views - this is enjoyed year round by our guests

To make your stay as effortless as possible, we’ve stocked the kitchen with essentials such as olive oil, herbs, spices, salt, pepper, paper towels, napkins, baking paper, cling film, foil, and coffee for the espresso machine

Simply bring your food and wine — everything else is ready for you to unwind and enjoy!

Our Retreat is ideal for a couple or small family. Please note that it’s not suitable for larger groups or extended families.

A Note on the Property Setup:

The Retreat is part of a dual-key arrangement with our adjoining Residence, which is occasionally used by extended families. While there are no shared living spaces and each has its own private entrance, please be aware that the two accommodations are connected via a locked internal door. You may occasionally hear or notice other guests in the Residence.

We kindly ask all guests to be respectful of noise, particularly during the evening hours, to ensure everyone has a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The Residence is not always occupied, but we want to be transparent about the layout for those seeking a completely private retreat.

When the booking is confirmed entrance instructions will be provided.

Other things to note
This is a dual key property. There is an interconnecting door that is locked. Entrances and parking are completely separate. There are no shared spaces. We have additional soundproofing between the Retreat & Residence.
We like to point this out before our guests book as not everyone is comfortable with a dual key option.

Neighbourhood highlights

We are located on a 5 acre bush block approximately a 20 minute drive from Jindabyne township...our neighbours are the Wild Brumby Schnapps Distillery which is a must do and Crackenback Farm Cottage Restaurant which is wonderful place for lunch or dinner. For winter guests we are a 20 minute drive from Thredbo ski fields and a 5 minute drive to the Ski Tube which gives you direct access to the Perisher ski fields.

This is me standing on the top of Mt. Kosciusko watching the sunrise. This is an experience not to be missed if you are visiting outside of winter .... it was super special effort for me as I am not an early morning person but it was so worth it! After living and working in Sydney we have returned the Snowy Mountains to live and pursue other business opportunities. We love the quiet country location of Andrea's White House and all the summer and winter activities on offer. Still working of course but now also enjoying the rural scene. We live on site but in separate accommodation which is great as it allows us to meet our guests and put a face to a name. One of the things I enjoy the most is helping people to get to know the Snowy Mountains, there is a lot to explore and experience in all seasons.
