One of a kind country setting, secluded yet minutes to McKinney & Frisco for easy access to shopping and restaurants. Situated high on a hill overlooking 57 acres of beauty bounded by the east fork of the Trinity River. You're getting BOTH the Cottage and the Farmhouse - which are close yet detached for privacy. Many wedding venues are close by, making us perfect for guests or even the bride & groom's first night. We live nearby for quick attention. Event barn, pavilion & supplies can be rented.

The space
Situated on 57 acres bounded by the east fork of the Trinity River and on a dead end road that is canopied by giant trees makes this a natural retreat that is just minutes to shopping and dining. The lightly traveled paved county roads out here are absolutely perfect for running and biking! Bring your bikes, they'll be safe out here. At night the stars are bright and clear and the sunrises and evenings are beautiful. The houses are surrounded by trees and since they sit on a hilltop there always seems to be a cooling breeze blowing. We live down the hill a bit so you'll see us occasionally and our amazing friendly dog Jack and a few roaming chickens. You may even see deer in the meadow and an occasional wild turkey coming up from the river. What you won't see or hear is emergency vehicles, lots of cars, loud music, or construction.

This is a quiet country neighborhood on dead end paved road. Enjoy a stroll on the county roads and even on the tree farm next door during their business hours. So beautiful. Also next door is a self-sustaining organic micro-farm, consider scheduling a tour with the owner.

We moved to McKinney onto our country acreage over 25 year ago to raise our large family in the country. With most of our 8 kids now grown and gone we're ready to share the natural beauty of our homestead with others thanks to the internet and airbnb.
