Enjoy a light-filled house with full kitchen, outdoor BBQ, sauna, luxe king bedroom and ensuite. Stroll to the beach or jetty, just a few steps from the gate. Located on 6 private Land for Wildlife acres, the artist and musician owners have added their personal touches for your enjoyment.

The space
Perfectly placed for privacy, with direct access to the beach, ABBH offers what no other property can - your own new private beach house with its butterfly-wing roof floating in 6 acres of forest with sea vistas from every room. With 35 years of award-winning hospitality experience, these round the world sailor and adventurer owners chose Bruny for their new, sustainable house and have made sure you'll have everything needed for a magic getaway, whether a short or long stay. Enjoy the well equipped kitchen. Your spacious bedroom with luxe King bed has sliding doors opening onto the deck. You might even like to sleep with doors open, listening to the sounds of the sea nearby. Your ensuite bathroom has heated towel rails and walk-in rain shower with twists on a nautical theme. Facilities include a sauna (additional cost to cover use, sanitising, extra towels, aromatherapy oil) , laundry, work space, Weber BBQ, stereo, WiFi and Smart TV (Guests should log in using own account details & log out on departure). Walk everywhere - to the jetty, restaurants, Pennicott wilderness boat tours, National Parks and of course the beautiful stretch of Adventure Bay beach. Join the locals and catch a fish or squid off the jetty! You might even like to ease away the aches of another life in the Infrared sauna. (Please request, confirmation of no health issues required to use for insurance and $50 unlimited use per stay to cover running costs, sanitising, extra towels and your own organic aromatherapy oil to enjoy).

Adventure Bay, the loveliest stretch of beach on the island, is known for being unspoiled, uncrowded and is the place where Captains Cook and Bligh and other explorers like Bruni d'Entrecasteaux, after whom the island is named, dropped anchor and rested. It is is home to the unique White Wallaby as well as being surrounded by forests with any number of beautiful and sometimes rare birds. Bruny is still mainly a rural island of sheep farms, forests and renowned gourmet food producers. And world class artists, including jewellery makers. Its waters are full of fish and lobsters.....enjoy local produce from markets (if on) or the local shop during your stay.

Sailing, islands, wildlife, exploring and adventuring have been such a big part of our lives, we feel unbelievably lucky to live where we do and to be able to share our homes . After 10 years running charter yachts in the Caribbean (way back in the '70's!) before settling permanently in Queensland's Whitsunday Islands, we discovered Tasmania and Bruny Island on our travels. Hospitality has been our life, so today we enjoy sharing our new beach house in TASMANIA and the +100 year old Heritage Cottage in the Whitsundays. Between hosting guests with an authentic Australian experience, we enjoy home life, riding our horses, travel and sailing around the world with friends. In the past years we've sailed New Zealand, Alaska, Central America, Galapagos, Patagonia and all the way to Antarctica. We hope to share some of your adventures too!
