The train noise is noted in the listing, so should not be a surprise. The house is a 5-10 minute drive from downtown, summerfest, third ward, etc. Depending on weather, sometimes the flight pattern will be over the house. This is an urban location.
Two weeks prior to this guest, another guest burned a pound of bacon in the kitchen. We did our best to rid the house of the smell. When Diane arrived on Friday, she texted me and told me the house smelled like "cigarettes". No one had been in the house for the two weeks prior, so I knew it was not cigarette smoke. I told Diane to turn on kitchen fan and open windows since it was a cool evening. I requested she let me know in the morning if the house still smelled, and I would come over and attempt to solve the problem. She did not communicate with me again, so I assumed all was well.
I am sorry Diane wasn't happy with her airbnb experience. Fortunately, this is the only negative review we have received.
