Nestled in the heart of a sun-kissed village, Il Passetto (the Passage), a 17th-century house, is now a sanctuary for couples, families, and kindred souls. The space
Welcome to Il Passetto: the Artists' Hideaway, nestled within the enchanting white-washed village of Parabita, just a few minutes' drive from the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

As you enter, you'll be greeted by an abundance of natural light dancing through the open-plan layout, creating a sense of spaciousness and serenity.
The master bedroom, awaits you beyond a quaint bridge, offering utmost privacy with its expansive ensuite bathroom and its 1600's walls. Lock the door and unwind in your own private retreat. Find a private fridge for your drink & snacks and an outdoor patio overlooking one of the oldest streets of the town centre.

The heart of the home, the kitchen and indoor dining area, beckon you to gather and create cherished memories with your loved ones.

Step outside onto the expansive patio, and dine under the porch, unwind in the lounging area, or have a relaxin 'siesta' (afternoon nap) on the double day bed, nestled amidst the lovely terrace. An outdoor shower offers a refreshing escape, while a small wash-house ensures convenience and ease during your stay.

And if you crave a bit of quiet time, step into the spiral staircase leading to the roof terrace. Here, you can unwind under the twinkling stars or admire the breathtaking sunset over the old town, enveloped in a serene ambiance that whispers tales of tranquility and beauty.


We have divided the place into 2 ZONES: please check the map of the flat in the photos section to view the unique layout of this place and read description below.

ZONE 1- Main Building:
Two bedrooms (1 double and 1 single) are off the main living areas in the main building.
The kitchen & indoor dining area are open-plan. A small internal patio opens from the dining area letting in a welcome breeze in Summer and with a spiral staircase that leads to the top terrace. The lounge has 2 large built-in sofas. .
The outside area is a (very) large terrace with dining & lounging area, and further around, past the outdoor shower, is a double day bed. There is a small wash-house on the main patio, which also has a toilet.

The main access to the apartment is via the large terrace which can be locked at night if you wish to. All doors leading into the apartment can be locked, as well.
On the bridge you will find a small patio with a table and 2 chairs overlooking the picturesque streets of Parabita

ZONE 2- Over the bridge:
A double bedroom over the small bridge, a small patio, plus an en-suite. You are able to lock the bedroom for full privacy & security.

Being in the historical center of an old Italian village, you’ll find that the neighboring houses are quite close to yours, and the main church and square are just a short walk away. Rest assured, the locals are incredibly friendly, and don’t hesitate to offer them a smile—it will make their day, and they’ll be delighted to see you appreciating their town.

Neighbourhood highlights

Literally 3 mins from the vibrant town square! There are often bands playing in the square and you can dine outside in the square in one of the 2 open-air restaurants. Plus there are 2 bars, one completely open-air and the other offering a very nice aperitivo under their portico! Very lively in Summer!
