Calm and convenient location

A spacious, 1000 sq ft / 92 sqm, two double bedroom apartment, taking up the entire lower ground floor of a beautiful Grade II listed Villa in central Cheltenham. Self contained, it has its own entrance, two bedrooms, a separate kitchen, separate sitting room, and bathroom with shower. It also has super fast 150mb wifi broadband.

The space
The house is a beautiful Grade II listed Regency villa, built in 1830. The basement flat has been totally remodelled and brought back into the fabric of the house, with the original staircase reinstalled. However it has been designed as a self contained guest apartment with its own fully fitted kitchen, living room and garden terrace. It has its own separate heating system and a snug wood burning stove in the cosy sitting room. The bedrooms are a generous size, one fitted with Kingsize bed, the other double bed, and both with Tempur memory foam matresses. The large living room has a sofa and large armchair, with wood burner and TV. The property is ideally suited for two couples or for a family.

Guest access
Our family lives in the main house above but you will have the whole basement apartment to yourself, with your own separate entrance. The flat includes two double bedrooms, a hallway, big living room, kitchen with table for 4 people and a bathroom with shower. There is also a small basement garden patio. The flat has everything you need for a self contained experience. We supply cooking equipment and utensils as well as basic cooking ingredients such as oils, spices, sauces etc. For those wanting to cook more extensively we can supply other items on request (additional pans etc - just ask!)

Other things to note
Two night minimum stay.

We do not charge a cleaning fee and we do not expect you do do any housework or cleaning when you leave - you are on holiday and should enjoy yourselves, just like a hotel!

For check in there is a coded key safe you can use to let yourselves in.

We supply everything you need; bedding, towels and wifi! The kitchen is stocked with tea, coffee, snacks, cereals and basic cooking ingredients. We also provide a welcome pack of edible essentials including fresh milk and juice, so no need to go to the shops immediately!

The flat has two double beds in total. There is a single airbed available on request, but we ask that guests do not sleep on the sofa in the living room.

The flat is rented on the basis of 4 adult maximum, or one family unit. We do not allow parties or events in the flat. We also ask that you do not invite other people to visit. Unauthorised extra guests can either be refused, or are subject to an additional fee of £50 per person per night.

We have a pet cat called Smokey who lives upstairs with us, but does access the flat on occasion. Therefore for anyone severely allergic we cannot guarantee you wouldn’t be affected.

PARKING

There are two options for parking. You can buy a parking permit from us or make use of the various free parking allowances in the neighbourhood…

Parking within the entire neighbourhood is set with a Zone 15 resident parking scheme, with different rules for different streets.

There are some bays further up the street that are resident only Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, with 4 hour free parking during the day. This means that if you stay over the weekend you could get free parking for your entire stay.

At other times though you would be subject to restrictions.

However, on our portion of the street, restrictions are 8am-8pm 7 days a week, so you can only park with a permit, or overnight.

If you are planning to come by car, we do offer the option to buy digital parking vouchers for your stay, up to two cars per day at a cost of £5 per car, per day. This would allow you to park in any resident space in the area at all times, including outside the house, if there’s space.

If you would like to use this option then let me know your car registration and how long you’d like a permit for and I can organise. It’s an online digital permit so no need to display anything in the car.

Neighbourhood highlights

Our street is one of the prettiest in Cheltenham and everything you need in town is within easy walking distance. We are a 5-10 minute walk to the high street and a 15-20 minute walk to Montpellier, Imperial Park and Cheltenham Ladies College. There are two beautiful parks nearby; Sandford Park and Pittville and in summer you can swim in the fantastic open air Lido swimming pool, which is 50 metres long and has its own cafe and lawn areas.
