Signature designed house inspired in the Ashaninka’s tribe architecture immersed in the rainforest with a private waterfall 300 meters away from your doorstep. All the water for the house comes from a natural spring in this house fully integrated to nature. Easy access by car or bus 20 minutes from downtown Paraty. The house sits in a private long time friend’s property sharing more than 200.000 square meteres with only other 4 houses with complete safety and privacy.

The space
The house which fits max 6 people has a huge 45 square meters suite with a comfortable queen sized bed and a spacious mezzanine with two single beds the can be combined forming a double bed. On the living room there is a couch that also becomes a bed and suits another couple. There are two full wooden bathrooms with hot water heated by high pressure sustainable solar panels that provide an amazing shower experience by nature. The living room has a dinning table for 6 and a there is a fully equipped kitchen with a cooktop, compact fridge, pans and even a coffee grinder. From the house you can walk 10 minutes to our private waterfall where you can swim and meditate in a quiet private water stream.

Attention: never cross the river during raining times and kids are only allowed when accompanied by adults. Please respect and take care of nature. This is a sanctuary.

Guest access
Our property is located up in the mountains on the Paraty-Cunha Road 20 minutes drive away from Paraty downtown historic center. After arriving at the gate, you have to drive 400 meters downhill on our internal road to get to our house. We call our house Asha, because of the Ashaninkas indigenous tribe which inspired our architectural project. You can also catch a bus right in front of our gate (every 45 minutes) and get easily to down Paraty.

Attention: please beware the house is right in the middle of the rainforest and our internal road can get a bit slippery sometimes. If your car is too low we recommend you park just above the house in one of our parking spots and if you need help to drive you car back up our guest manager can assist you.

Other things to note
Respect nature and the local community.

The house has 220v as standard voltage!

Most of cell phones don’t have signal in the area.

Paulo Cesar and Lucas can be reached by Walkie-Talkie in case of any need.

For dogs coming along with guests, we’ll charge an extra R$ 150,00 for cleaning fee.

Our house sits in the middle of the forest and in a rural area of Paraty, unfortunately sometimes (specially during high season) our energy supply and internet can get unstable. So it’s not ideal if you need to work remotely.

Location

Paraty, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Our property is located in a very quiet small neighbourhood at the mountains of Paraty, right on the border with the 'Serra da Bocaina National Park', one of the largest Atlantic Forrest preservation areas in the country. There is an amazing local community that lives around our property and they are always super welcoming.
To get food and supplies you can drive 10 minutes to a nearby supermarket. Also, right next to our entrance gate there is a local restaurant and a small shop with local sourced products.
At walking distance you can check the old 'Caminho do Ouro' where all the mining and gold use to pass by on it's way to Portugal when Brazil was still a colony. There are over 2000 species of birds and you can probably spot from the deck of the house the most beautiful birds you've ever seen in your life. If you are lucky enough you can even spot monkeys and other wild animals.
