Just a moments walk from the town center and hidden away from the hustle and bustle, this warehouse factory conversion has an open plan two level space that is arty, light filled and has a private garden! Imaginative and creative, this self-contained apartment has a relaxing chilled holiday vibe. The secure complex also offers off street parking with your own bay, remote access and free WIFI broadband.

The space
Hailed as one of the first warehouse conversions in Fremantle, the Old Joyce factory was built in the heart of town in the 1920’s. Today, it finds itself located 2mins walk from the town centre, which is literally just around the corner, and yet a far cry from the buzzy metropolis. Yes, right in the heart of Fremantle! The old factory is now a protected and quaint complex with a secure automatic gate and parking for vehicles lower than 2m.
Whatever your reason to visit Fremantle, The Joyce Factory Apartment appeals to travellers and locals alike wanting to immerse themselves in the bohemian lifestyle Fremantle has to offer.
We look forward to hosting you and would love to welcome you to really enjoy Fremantle. Get in touch with us if you would like to book this popular and unique apartment now or add it to your wish list ready for planning your trip to Freo!

Other things to note
If you are thinking about a day trip to Rottnest Island, The Old Joyce Factory Loft Apartment is perfectly located within easy walking distance to the Ferry Terminal. In fact, I have had many guests base themselves here and take a day trip and report it has been perfect for their plans. (First ferry over at 7am and last ferry back arrives in Freo at 7pm). Then just a short walk to the apartment. You need not even worry about all day parking hassles at the ferry terminal. Just leave your car parked securely at the apartment! "Ask me more about a Rotto trip!"
The Old Joyce Factory Loft Apartment is built within the shell of an old warehouse factory. A lot of the original amenity of the building has been retained, giving it a very unique character. This also means the apartment is particularly susceptible to the cold in the winter time. Every effort has been made to ensure guests are warm and comfortable. The loft bed is equipped with a heated blanket and extra doona is available. There is also a reverse cycle air conditioner for heating the space provided.
Unfortunately, the old factory (built in the 1920's) is not centrally heated :) However, every effort has been made to ensure the amenity is toasty warm for your comfort.

Fremantle, Western Australia, Australia

"Hip, buzzing and bohemian: Fremantle might be one of the coolest towns in Australia. Students, hospitality workers, musicians and city professionals rub shoulders with fishermen, dock labourers and backpackers in Fremantle.
Hipsters, buskers, baristas, waiters, art students… Fremantle locals dance to a bohemian beat, infusing the pubs, bars and cafes with buzzy exuberance.
Port-side warehouse conversions are all the rage in Freo, with old limestone worker’s cottages and larger brick Victorian houses enriching the architectural brew." Quote from Fremantle Suburb Profile which I believe quintessentially sums up our little seaside town.

We are typical Fremantle people who just love the quirky lifestyle this little seaside town has to offer. The beaches, the old buildings and the music / arts scene have sucked us in to stay. I am originally from here but travelled the world extensively by sail earlier in life. Our young family of four now call Freo home because its a town that draws you back. We love the alternative and want to share this with those who are interested in the bohemian pocket that is Fremantle.

During your stay
We enjoy meeting visitors to our town regularly and are enthusiastic about making sure you get what you want from your stay. I will meet you on arrival, let you in and give you a brief intro to your accommodation. Now is a good time to ask about the "hidden gems" of Freo, or "local knowledge" on any of your adventure plans. But before you arrive, be sure to gorge on my AirBnb guide book! (below) Its bound to get you exited about Freo, has random quirky reviews and a few (Shhh!) Secret local experiences!
We also enjoy the sights and delights of what Fremantle has to offer on a daily basis. As locals, we would love the opportunity to share a few of the more hidden gems of town with our guests. We can give you some great recommendations of places to visit, hidden small bars and cafés. Just let us know what you are looking for and we’d be happy to share some of the good vibes with you.
