Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
A coastal straw bale house with beautiful interiors and one of the best views in the region. This North facing solar passive design features lime rendered straw bale walls, bespoke timber cabinetry and polished concrete floors. Enjoy exquisite views of the Margaret River, the National park and the ocean. This cottage suits a couple who want to enjoy a high quality Margaret River accommodation experience in a peaceful and truly beautiful natural setting.

The space
Built to a very high standard on a eight acre block. You can enjoy bush walks with direct access to the river which curves around the edge of the property allowing you to actively enjoy the river, taking in the amazing birdlife and the stunning limestone cliffs.

You will have a queen bed with unspoilt ocean and river views.

Take a bath or shower outdoors whilst breathing in the landscape. Enjoy a glass of wine soaking in the tub whilst watching the sun set over the ocean.

You have a Weber BBQ at your disposal, a Belling gas hob, a dishwasher, smart TV with Netflix and very comfortable bed and bed linen.

Guest access
We live on the eight acres but in a separate dwelling away from your cottage. We do have a small friendly dog Bear, a sweet Kelpie whippet cross, who may want to say hello. We will absolutely respect your privacy but will be available for you should you have any concerns. You have ample private parking.

Other things to note
No children under 12 due to an unfenced dam near the property. This is a bush property so you may encounter kangaroos and other Australian native wildlife.

We live in a quiet and peaceful rural setting that has the advantage of being less than a 5 minute drive to the beach and less than 10 minutes to Margaret River town. You are a 5 minute drive from Cape Mentelle winery where you can enjoy the wine tasting and the outdoor movies. There is easy access to the bike track that runs to the beach, the Cape to Cape coastal walk and town. It is a wonderful location for exploring all that this incredible region has to offer, the wineries, beaches, forests, caves, and all other local attractions.
