Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Julie Fay is a charming and unique paddle-boat nestled amid nature in her scenic private landing, connected to mains power. Her vintage exterior contrasts with a delightfully modern decor.
Five minutes from Paringa, Julie Fay is designed as a couples retreat where guests have full use of the boat but keep access to their car to explore the area.
The perfect honeymoon destination or maybe your base for the Murray River Walk, Woolshed Brewery. The 360 views help immerse you in nature.

The space
Other houseboats have to be driven to find the perfect spot. Here, it is all provided for you. The birds come right up to the boat, the sunsets are seen in full glory from the top deck, the stars are bright in the evening and you will awaken to the sounds of contented birds in the trees around you. This is a true nature experience that will refresh your soul.
If you are planning only one night, we recommend you make the most of it by arriving at 3pm, bring a meal and use the full morning for a kayak or relaxation up until the 12 noon departure time.
Cheaper than hiring a houseboat AND you still have your car to explore the sights (6kms to the famous boutique Woolshed Brewery and 3kms to a stunning clifftop lookout) and treat yourselves at any of the wonderful local restaurants.

Guest access
You have full access of the boat with upper and lower decks. Your car will be parked close by the landing and kayaks available at all times.
The combustion heater is available in winter.

Other things to note
Please note that, as a food production area, Renmark is fruit-fly free. You cannot bring any fruit or vegetables across the border from Victoria at all. You can only bring fruit and vegetables from Adelaide if you have an itemised receipt to prove that you purchased them in South Australia.
Some times are not always peaceful on the river:
Despite our relatively secluded position, the river will be very busy on long weekends and school holidays.
Duck hunting season could run anytime between February - June so call us if you want to know when the season is open.
The Dinghy Derby runs in February and October and there will be dinghies practicing in the weeks leading up to the race.
