The space
Our Campsite is set up on an open field that overlooks a beautiful natural lake and a river flowing alongside. Green mustard plants along with organic vegetable plants surround our camp. The tents are setup on a bamboo platform and overlooks the clear night sky. A traditional Mishing tribal kitchen along with a souvenir shop is also located at the campsite. Guests have access to the kitchen where they can try their hand at cooking over firewood. Hammocks for a day of relaxation are available. Hot water is available at nominal costs. Bicycles, motorbikes can be hired at an additional and nominal cost. We also allow our guests to try their hands at traditional fishing along the lake situated adjacent to the camp. Traditional Rice Wine can be arranged upon prior request. Unending conversations with the locals of Majuli savoring rice wine is on the house :-)

The Camp is located amidst the calm and serene environment of the largest River Island in the World of Majuli. Majuli offers its visitors a unique getaway from the hustle and bustle of a city life to relax amidst the lush greenery of the villages and open fields here. Majuli is the hub of the Neo-vaishnavite cult of Assam with numerous religious Satras spread across the Island. The traditional mask making art of Majuli is a must to see art here. At Majuli, spend you days at calm and go for fishing, boat rides, bird watching and spend your evenings by the fire savoring Rice wine and traditionally cooked Mishing tribal food cooked on fire.
