A quiet location in Glossop. Ideal for 2 people if you're wanting a little more space than a hotel and want to make your own meals. Perfect if you are exploring the Peak district as we were. A bonus was our host provided us with as many fresh eggs as we liked! Thanks Gillian we had a lovely stay.
I've stopped in awful lot of places in my job and I can safely say this would be in my top 3. Fantastic rooms to very good spec excellent location for traveling on to your next location or walking into town to get a bite to eat. Definitely 10 out of 10. The highlight is watching the chickens ( that are fenced off) running up towards you when you come in or go out like little puppies, hilariously funny to watch
A very comfortable place for 2+1 with everything one needs for holiday stay. The kitchen is well equipped, internet is fast, TV works great...and if weather allows it there is a very nice seating outside too. The place is a bit far from the city centre and the shops so car is essential here. Or, time for easy walks down and back up. Snake Pass, Ladybower Reservoir and the rest of Peak District famous places are short drive away so the place is well located for tourists as we are too. Glossop has everything one needs too - shops, coffees, take aways and a train station. All in all, staying at Gill's place in Glossop was a very good choice for us and we had a good time there.
This was very convenient for us as we were visiting family in nearby Stalybridge. Gillian was very welcoming and there were some fresh eggs waiting for us. The flat was clean and comfortable, it had everything we needed and felt quite separate from the house upstairs. We would recommend this flat to anyone visiting this corner of the Peak District
