Our hosts Sabine and Bertrand are a very special couple. They have a beautiful home that they shared fully with us. Everything was done to make us feel at home. You must take advantage of the evening meal, Sabine and Bertrand entertained us and joined us for the meal which Sabine prepared herself. It is a truly outstanding place to stay. We will certainly be returning for another visit and I know when we arrive we will be treated as friends rather that guests. Thank you Sabine and Bertrand.

Sabine and Betrand are a genuinely caring couple who try to accommodate the wishes of a their guests. Sabine is an excellent cook who selects herbs, fruits and vegetables from her own garden and eggs from her hens. We spent a wonderful evening with them lingering over a delicious dinner and great conversation. We would return just to visit with them! Sent from my iPad

Sabine and Bertrand were very welcoming into their beautiful home. We chose to eat our evening meal with them. Sabine is a great cook and they are both excellent hosts and we had a wonderful evening together. We didn't feel like strangers but friends. They both speak very good English so we found it easy to converse. Our room was excellent and very comfortable. We would certainly welcome them into our home if they ever travel to the US.

A bientôt...

Our house it is a little us: a mixture of user-friendliness, serenity, conservation of the traditions without denying the good things of today.

We like sharing, discussing and changing the world around a good table with traditional dishes, good wines and desire to discover the others, their culture and their life and also listen to some music, dance, in brief party between friends.

At the house there is 1 cat, 1 dog, 3 hens (for fresh eggs), a big garden, and the forest in 100 meters and we often take advantage of our environment to make big ballads in forest.

Today our children are tall and a little scattered in the world (Germany and Canada) and our suitcases are never very far!

We live in a typical village of the region, with its houses built in white stones (stones often extracted on the spot in the careers which line the valley). We are at the middle outstrip between Compiègne and Soissons, two cities in the rich historic past. In Compiègne you can discover the imperial castle and walk in the magnificent park ordered for Empress Joséphine, visit the historic center either hit the small ball on the golf or still attend horse races on the racecourse. Difficult then not to make to Pierrefonds, attractive village nested around a lake and a former thermal cure center in 19th century then to go to visit its castle of the Middle Ages restored by Viollet-le-Duc. Between Pierrefonds and Compiègne you will cross the national forest and its numerous paths fitted out for the hike. For the enthusiasts of history plan a passage by Rethondes and the clearing in which was signed the armistice ending the World War I. To Soissons you will go to admire the vestiges of the Abbey St-Jean-des-vignes and to penetrate in majestic into Cathedral and then by managing you towards Laon will confide the numerous vestiges of the great war, the path of the ladies (le chemin des dames), Craonnes, the cave of the Dragon. Do not forget to grow until Laon, so called " the crowned mountain " because of its topography and of his historic past.
The amateurs of walking or bike can travel " the green way " until Soissons either visit the numerous picturesque villages any goshawk.
Well évidement you should not forget that we are at one o'clock of the most beautiful city of the world (let us assume our chauvinism!): Paris.
