This quaint single level (no loft), 2 x 4 metre tiny house has been creatively hand crafted from 90% recycled building materials and is road registered as a caravan. The Tiny House contains a double bed, pot belly stove, couch, fan and kitchen to prepare simple meals, which includes a small fridge, kettle, sink, gas cooktop, coffee plunger, tea pot, saucepans, crockery and utensils. Enjoy eating fresh organic herbs and greens from the tiny houses own tiny kitchen garden. An outdoor living area under the houses side veranda awning includes a barbeque, table and chairs.
The elegant simplicity of the glass walled bath house and treehouse compost toilet (well kept) will help you to reconnect with nature, offering the same stunning views directly into the surrounding trees and green farm hills. Enjoy a hot or cold bath and shower depending on the weather, accompanied by candles, books, bath salts, etc…
Rainwater is used for all purposes and filtered well for safe use and drinking. The house is powered by solar panels, both USB and standard household power points are available in the house for charging your phone, camera and laptop.
Guest access
The tiny house, bath house and surrounding paddock are exclusively yours. Parking is right next to the tiny house. Your own transport is required as public transport is not available. Being an operational organic farm, certain areas are out of bounds for visitors.
Other things to note
Currently we do not allow children of any age to stay as guests in the tiny house. This is due to safety and liability issues associated with the farm setting.
Staying in an off-grid tiny house on a farm is a unique and out of the ordinary experience, many features and appliances will differ to that of conventional homes, such as the compost toilet, fridge and cooktop. The farm contains lots of wildlife. We do our best to keep things clean and tidy, but inevitably sometimes nature decides to try and come inside. If you are looking for a pristine and totally sterile environment, maybe a conventional air bnb or hotel is better suited to your needs. On the other hand, if you love campfires, birds, tree’s, nature and bright night stars, then this is the place for you. Please note the following:
No microwave, TV or WiFi (good phone reception)
Double bed – could be an issue if you are over 6 foot tall
Access through the farm to the tiny house are on a dirt road, although most two wheel drive vehicles have no problem getting here
Tiny house kitchen sink is a pump tap with cold water only, so you’ll need to boil the kettle for hot water in the kitchen
