Venture into the vineyard, where you're welcome to interact with our gentle horses. We kindly request that you exercise caution and refrain from entering any gates or paddocks with the animals to ensure your and their safety and well-being.
Our charming hobby farm is home to a delightful array of animals, including horses, ponies, geese, ducks, alpacas, and cows. If you'd like to make your visit even more special, we'd be delighted to arrange feeding times for you to interact with these friendly residents upon request.
Apart from offering breathtaking vistas of the Yarra Valley and the Warburton Ranges, Alkira is nestled alongside a charming creek adorned with majestic mountain ash trees and delicate ferns. You'll find yourself just 20 meters from a well-frequented walking trail leading to the John's Hill Reserve Lookout, providing a convenient and accessible gateway to explore this remarkable area.

Fire danger periods/Severe Weather Warnings - In the unlikely event that a Code Red rating is declared by the CFA (Country Fire Authority), any bookings at that time will be cancelled and monies returned, or alternative booking dates provided.
During windy conditions and on days with total fire bans, outdoor fires are not permitted for safety reasons. However, guests are still welcome to utilize the gas-fired barbecue conveniently located in the kitchen area.
