Ás is a 130 years old totally renovated and charming cottage. The house is in a quiet place of the village in Eskifjörður just a few meters from Lambeyrará. This is the perfect place to stay if you want to enjoy and explore the magnificent nature and authentic daily life in the Eastfjords. Eskifjörður offers good service to tourists: A splendid outdoor swimmingpool at the roots of the mountain Hólmatindur, a grocery store, ATM, postoffice, healthcare, pharmacy, museums and a restaurant.

This is a very pleasant and beautiful place to stay. The house is even more idyllic and cute than on the pictures. Eskifjordur is a very pleasant place to stay. We didn't find any good options for eating out, at least not outside the season, therefore I would recommend to self…

Response from Hilda Gerd:
Thank you too, Nathalie, we are so happy that you had a good time! As you point out there are not many places to eat out in Eskifjörður during the winter. However in Neskaupsstaður, Reyðarfjörður and Fáskrúðsfjörður thera are good restaurants open all year around. Nobody should miss going to the museum in Fáskrúðsfjörður, Franski spítalinn, and Fosshótel has an excellent restaurant connected to the museum. In Eskifjörður during the summer season we have a unique restaurant down by the sea. It is an old "verbúð", where the fishermen used stay and work. You can go there next time! Kær kveðja, Hilda
