I am very sorry that you had a negative experience at our property. It was very surprising to receive a phone call from your husband several days after checking in stating that you were leaving the property due to bugs in the home. Our home is treated for pests regularly (both inside and out) and we had not had any of our previous guests mention anything about bugs.. There are several options for treating bugs in the house that do not pose any heath risks to the people in the home (I.E baits, deep cleaning, ect...) Even though you declined my attempts at solving the problem, would not send me any photos of the bugs you were seeing and still wanted to leave the property, I happily agreed to refund all of your unused nights. I believe this was very fair as you stayed for more than two days before mentioning any issues with the property. Had it been as bad as you stated above then you should have notified me or Airbnb with in 24 hours of your check in. I personally do all of our walkthroughs before a guest arrives to ensure that the home is sparkling clean upon arrival.
As you can see from the overwhelmingly positive feedback from all of our other guests we consistently provide an excellent experience and wonderful accommodations. We pride ourselves on being excellent hosts and believe that we were very fair in this unfortunate situation.
