The place is 120 square metres (1000 square feet) open style apartment consisting of the 80 square metres ground level (on the 3rd floor of the 1894 house) and a 40 square metres mezzanine on which you have the spacious bedroom (king size bed) and the en-suite upstairs bathroom. On the ground floor there is an open kitchen, and a smaller guest-bathroom (with the washing machine). All the rest is open space with a wide full wooden, 'castle oak' floor. The kitchen is fully equipped (with place settings for dinner parties up to 8 people that can sit around the 4 metres long oak table). There's TV, Wi-Fi, Stereo, etc ... The place is dead centre of Brussels, right near the major cultural venues (theatre, opera, dance, movies), and the major social venues (restaurants with any cuisine you might like, and pubs or cafe in whatever style you might prefer). A major metro station (De Brouckere) is literally right around the corner and the cross-roads for the two metro-lines that cross the city.
You'll have full access to the entire place.
We mostly see each other only when handing over the keys. 'Checking out' is mostly done simply by leaving the keys inside and pulling the door closed behind you.
You're dead center of Brussels, .... walking distance to major cultural venues, sights.
You are just around the corner of a major subway station (Brouckere), which is at crossroads of two major metro axes.
When arriving from Charleroi airport the easiest (and cheapest thing to do) is to take the shuttle between Charleroi airport and Brussels (terminus 'Gare de midi'). Once at the Gare de midi, you can walk for 15' or take the pre-metro line 4 (which with waiting might take just as long) to 'Brouckere'.
