'Wine Barrel' is a refurbished inside and out 1950's Nissen Hut! Come and stay in a part of the Hunter Valley's rich history. Approximately 5 mins drive to first vineyard (along mount view rd) and 2km from Cessnock town centre. Approx 1km for the Australian Hotel (pick up Point for concerts through rover coaches.)
'Wine Barrel' offers clean quality linen, comfortable furnishings and nostalgic charm.

The space
Cosy, refurbed, fully insulated Nissen Hut. Built for immigrant miners and their families in the 1950's. A fascinating piece of architecture, the roof and walls are curved. Offering close proximity to all the fun, great restaurants, vine yards, events and local attractions. There's always something to see and do in the hunter valley. Very comfortable interiors including bean bags and Eco under linens and towels. Fully equiped kitchen.

Where you’ll be

Cessnock, New South Wales, Australia

I love that our little 'wine barrel' is so close to the vineyards. If I want a bottle of wine I don't go to the bottle shop I go to the cellar door! Exceptional restaurants and always things to do here. If I'm going to a concert I hop on the bus at the Australian hotel approx 800meter flat walk and get dropped back there. Also offers a great feed if you like ribs!
The Cessnock leagues club have a courtesy bus that picks up and drops off members and/or guests for a cheap eat in town.
Most of the pubs are very child friendly, offering colouring in and play equipment.
