The apartment is a recent creation in a building occupied by a weaving business at the turn of the last century run by a lady designer named Annie Garnet. The apartment is tastefully decorated and fully equipped with a modern kitchen and shower room. The apartment is on the ground floor and has an opening 'Juliet' balcony facing towards the lake. It has its own reserved parking space and is just 200 yards from the centre of the busy village of Bowness and the waterfront of Windermere itself.

The space
The room is open plan and is the room used by Annie Garnet for the weaving looms which created her products for sale in the London market of the Art Nuveau period. A book has been published about her stunning fabrics, and a permanent exhibition of her business is located in the nearby Kendal Museum of Lakeland Life. The ground floor room is part of a small building which was teh original stable block for the main house, and is now split into just four apartments.

Guest access
The property is located on Brantfell Road which is a quiet cul-de-sac, and within the grounds of Fairfield House. It has its own private entrance door which opens to a vestibule with coat rack and boot tray before entering the open plan studio apartment. The en suite shower room is next to the bedroom area and there are windows on two sides with pleasant outlooks.

Other things to note
Children of all ages are accepted, but please note that we do not provide high chairs or cots. For the purposes of clarity 'infants' are still counted as children.
Wifi and Internet access are provided as a courtesy but no guarantee of their availability is given as the service is beyond our control.
You are welcome to bring your dog, and the charge is just £20 once off for the duration of the stay, to cover the extra cleaning which can be paid on arrival. All we would ask is that the dog is kept off all furniture especially the bed. There is excelent dog walking space on Brantfell just 100 yards away, but please do not use the grounds of the cottage or the nearby guesthouse. Thanks

The cottage which has four individual flats is located in a quiet cul-de-sac on the side of Brantfell. There is a reserved parking space for each flat and they are clearly marked. You should drive past the entrance to Fairfielld House and take the next right into Fairfielld Rd. The car park entrance is immediately on the right. The road is on a short but steep hill from the main village where all the restaurants, pubs, shops and attractions are located, and the promenade, boat jetties and waterfront of Windermere are just 100 yards further on. Up the top of Brantfell there is a pleasant walk that gives superb views in all directions.
